Gringo’s on Phelps Street announced on Facebook Tuesday that they have decided to close. They said the decision wasn’t easy and thanked the community.

I went here with my husband and a friend for lunch, and we had a great time. The food was DELICIOUS. The decorations were fun, and we enjoyed the music as well! This is probably my new favorite Mexican restaurant, and we will definitely be back soon!

The chicken was a little dry but really tasty..(might just be a this time kind of thing) the shrimp tastes amazing and the steak was very good.. the shrimp was deep fried btw.. tasty.. the queso could of been more thick but good.. guacamole was nice and there corn was delicious.. all in all very good choices to pick from.. presentation was amazing and service was super kind and quick.

I can not express enough how amazing this place is….the food is phenomenal, the restaurant atmosphere is great too. But what really is the hidden gem is the staff…they truly go above and beyond for each of their guests. I hosted a large party there this weekend on a Saturday night…and everyone that came with me had an amazing time…each and everything thing we ordered was better than the next. Everyone took such great care of us, I even had the opportunity to meet the owner and he was so very nice and really runs an amazing restaurant. Melissa took AMAZING care of us and really listened and made the experience so enjoyable. When in doubt of what to order….ask your server they made some amazing rec’s and I wish they could open a restaurant just like this in my city (we were there for an event). Thank you for everything and truly if you get the chance or are thinking of going….RUN….its AMAZING…
