Had the opportunity to get some dogs from this place. It was great. Dogs are hot and have a nice snap to them. Toppings are piled fresh and tasty. Fries are hot crispy and delicious. Also got the corn dog and the breading was delicious

I randomly decided to try this spot and the grand wrapit was amazing. Unique idea. The fries were really good as well. Only cons I found were that the prices were a bit too high for what it is. I also wasn’t told there was a fee to pay with card until I left and saw the receipt. Definitely will keep this place in mind for very late night eats if they are open till 3 am

Finally got a chance to stop by and try out Gringo Dogs today. It was delicious! The fries were well seasoned. The ultimate dog was yummy, well loaded, and very filling. The Grapit was even better. Service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend this place!

Ordered a ultimate dog and a pronto pup. The ultimate dog wasn’t bad, generous topping and the dog its self was good, however the bun was almost crumbly with age. My friend and I didn’t receive the pronto pups we ordered and paid for. Took us 10 minutes to receive 2 dogs and fries.

Wanted to try this place a few months ago – pulled in on a Sat at least 30 minutes after their open time & they asked if I could come back in 1/2 hour b/c they weren’t ready to serve food yet. ?
I don’t live in the area so, no.
I was in the area today at lunchtime so I thought I’d give it another shot.

I got the Windy City Dog $7.00, a Pronto Pup $2.00 & a sm fry $2.25
Pronto Pup was hot, crispy & was very close (but not quite) like the GH PP location.
Fries, which I’m very picky about – were hot, crispy & perfectly seasoned. If you like skinny fries, crispy on the outside & fluffy potato on the inside – these are for you!!
My Windy City dog fell short however. The bun & the actual dog itself were ice cold. And mind you, I pulled into a lot across the street to eat while the food was fresh.

I love to get a dog from the downtown cart but I’m not sure I’d come back to the doghouse. But I wouldn’t tell someone not to try it.

Definitely high quality doggs. The meat has a good snap /chew to it so you can tell there is no fillers and garbage, as in some hot dogs.

Just had to try this place out. Liked the name and dog mascot, but WOW, the “GrandRapits” was AMAZING! It’s like a chili dog but wrapped in a torilla and deep-fried! I’m telling all my friends about it.

I was really really hoping this was going to be good. The location is an old dirty-ish building. The lot is very run down. I believe there has been a handful of smaller restaurants in this building over the past several years.

The food: I ordered two chili cheese dogs. The quality and taste identical to what you would get at a gas station. But not quite as good, Unfortunately. There are a handful of areas within a couple mile radius of this place where their hot dogs are impressively good and actually cheaper.

The service: It was just a one man band so orders take a little while and is not very efficient but He was nice and professional.

I I really wanted to like this place. But I would be crazy to give it another opportunity or to refer anyone to give it a shot Just on quality, taste, And experience alone. Not to mention, there are several other restaurants in this area that have way better hotdog and for much less cost wise.

Had to give this place a try as we haven’t had the opportunity to grab a dog downtown. We live about 15 minutes from this location and food was still good when it arrived home! 2 meals and 4 dogs total, and all were made as asked, no drive thru mistakes! All dogs tasted very good, especially the 2 with chili! Would definitely stop again.
