Cute spot down the street from a one-time job I was early getting to. Great location with a nice view of a charming town. Excellent coffee, chill atmosphere. If I find myself in this town again, I’ll definitely be back.

This would be a 5 but they took my fave sandwich away!!! I came here regularly for one thing and one thing only—the Tofu Curry Sandwich. It was, hands down, the best sandwich in the city. The flavor profile was unmatched, and it was the only reason I’d go out of my way to drive across town. I walked in last week ready to order, only to find out it’s been taken off the menu. I’m devastated. Until it makes a comeback, my lunch routine is officially ruined. Please, Grindhouse, do the right thing. Bring back the Tofu Curry Sandwich so I have a reason to come back!

The caramel coffee? A liquid hug that whispered, “You’ve got this,” with every sip. And don’t get me started on the chocolate chip scone—it was like a warm, crumbly hug from a cocoa-dusted angel.
The vibe is cozy (could use more diverse music selection), but the staff is cooler than a cold brew, and the menu is a masterclass in deliciousness.

I ordered the Chai, the Nihilist Grindhouse, and the chocolate chip cookie. Great space with tons of natural light coming through. Plenty of seating. Free WiFi. This was my first visit. The menu as written, felt overwhelming so it took me a while to order. The staff were not unpleasant but it would have been nice if someone behind the counter offered to throw out a few ideas or provide recommendations. I was okay with the choices I made but nothing blew me away. It was just okay. But people were in and out the entire time I was there and it was a great place for me to sit for a couple hours. It appears to be a great addition to the community and I’m glad that I stopped in today.

This place used to be my go to at lunch, but now that they got rid of their tofu curry sandwich I find myself eating elsewhere most days. It’s a tremendous shame too because everything else about this place is top notch!

This place is not the best but not the worst either. I mostly came to write my review for two reasons. First, they served me a very undercooked muffin. Second, the service is always subpar at best.
So to start with the muffin. At first, I overlooked it because I understand sometimes any banana pastry/dessert can have a particular mouthfeel due to the bananas, but then I took another bite and it was quite literally unbaked batter. This muffin could’ve probably used another 10 minutes in the oven.
My other point I wanted to bring up is the service is always questionable. Every time I go there it’s someone new behind the counter, but they all share the same attitude as if they don’t want to be there and they are unapproachable. I’ve had multiple occasions where they reply to me extremely blunt or respond to my questions/ comments as if I don’t know what I’m talking about. It’s a little strange.
On another note, the lattes and frappes are always great and the food from the kitchen has been delicious. It’s just these two things really, in my opinion, bring the place down. I don’t want to go into an establishment and consistently feel like I’m impeding on the employees hangout sessions amongst each other. It’s very unwelcoming.

Ochaco and I had just finished a lunch of greasy tacos and decided we needed a dessert. The name of the Cafe was appealing so we stopped in. The space is quaint and smells divine of rich coffee beans. The staff was extremely friendly, patient, and willing to offer up suggestions- she got a latte, I ordered a smoothie, and we shared a cookie.
The drinks were refreshing and one of the best aspects of the Cafe is the music! Such a great soundtrack of alternative and punk rock hits. That is not to say that it is distracting. We easily were able to work on our projects and devise our next adventure.
