This sandwich shop is hands down the best in town for subs and sandwiches. The grinder sub and caramel bar were incredible, and their secret mayo-based sauce was delicious. While waiting, I also enjoyed looking at some old photography of the town. Supporting this small business is a great choice.

On two occasions now, I’ve ordered ahead from Grinder’s Deli for an assortment of sandwiches for lunch meetings. Both times, the orders were ready on time, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious. The meeting participants loved the sandwiches and caramel bars. Highly recommend.

Tried ordering 1/2 a dozen times over phone since new ownership but no answer. I have a short lunch and can walk there but without calling in your order, wait time is often 1/2 hour. That’s all the time I have. Would like to know how they are taking orders if they don’t answer the phone. Could also be a little more generous with toppings for price.

Amazing sandwiches and exemplary service is what to expect when visiting this local hidden gem. The welcoming smell of fresh baked goodies and warm smile of the staff are icing on this hometown favorite. Just be mindful of the cash only policy. It’s well worth the extra effort.

As we were headed West, we stopped in Austin for lunch. The first two places we tried were closed. So glad because otherwise we would not have discovered Grinder’s Deli. The sandwich was so yummy. From the bread that wasn’t overwhelming to the crispness of the cold deli meat and veggies. As if that wasn’t enough, the dessert was yummy as well.
