Stopped at Grind House for a coffee while visiting the area. The Americano was a bit stronger than I like but still very good. The staff was friendly when taking my order and the wait to get my coffee was about 5 minutes. Very small location with both bench and chair seating. The location is on a nice street with plenty of metered street parking.

My boys and I had a little mommy and me date and stopped in for apple juice and a seasonal drink. I ordered a banana bread matcha and it was DIVINE. I’m not a matcha drinker, and generally steer clear of anything with matcha but felt like I needed something with less caffeine. We didn’t try any food items, but will next time!

The sweet barista working (whose name I didn’t catch) was awesome. She took it upon herself to put the glass bottle juice into plastic cups with lids and straws for my little guys, and answered the 47 questions my 6 year old had about the Halloween decor and if they had any “brains” in the shop.

Was going to eat up the block but those prices were insane. I appreciate breakfast availability even in the afternoon, the latte was spot on, not ridiculously sweet like most places. Sandwich ingredients were fresh and taste was perfect. BRB

Small, dark industrial vibe with graffiti and skateboards on the walls. I only stopped in for an iced coffee, which was slightly bitter and over roasted. Service was pleasant and fast.

Grind House Coffee is a fantastic coffee shop with excellent coffee and friendly baristas. The atmosphere is laid-back and chill, making it a great spot to relax or get some work done. Their coffee, which I believe comes from the Northwest, is rich and flavorful, though I can’t quite recall the brand.

Seating is somewhat limited, but they offer small café tables and bar counter seating. One of my favorite things about this place is how pet-friendly they are—my Frenchie, Bella, always gets a complimentary pup cup with a little dog treat on top!

Beyond great coffee, they also have a kitchen serving delicious breakfast sandwiches, avocado toast, and a selection of lunch options. Another highlight is their community board, where locals can post about upcoming events and advertise services like dog walking or music lessons.

What really sets them apart, though, is their pricing. Coffee can be so overpriced these days, but Grind House Coffee offers some of the best prices in downtown Chula Vista. Their drinks and food are very reasonably priced, making it an even better place to visit regularly.

Overall, it’s a welcoming and cozy spot that I always enjoy visiting!

Issac the barista, hands down makes the best mocha I’ve had. Rich, smooth, not overly sweet — way better than Starbucks. You can tell they care about quality. Definitely my go-to coffee spot now!!!

I really like this spot. It’s quaint, aesthetically quirky, and the staff is exceptional. It’s smack dab in the middle of Third Avenue, making it a great stop on your way to other events, or a nice place to chill for a while and work or chat with friends.

The coffee here is so good. Super flavorful, perfectly acerbic, has a great finish. I especially like their lattes. Grindhouse is a must-try when you’re hanging out in Chula Vista!

Update: Came by today around 3:30pm and ordered an Arnold Palmer and a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. The Arnold Palmer was your regular Arnold Palmer, but was refreshing and enjoyable. The sandwich was really nice! The bun was high-quality, the egg was thick and tasty, and the aioli on it had a nice consistency and kick. I want to come back soon and try a few other espresso drinks.

Great vibes, open air seating whether inside or outside it felt very open. The staff were very friendly and their menu was very versatile! They have all different flavors of coffee, plus matcha, & teas. Everything was delicious. The Matcha is very light and not sweet at all so I needed some simple syrup in mine. The deluxe grilled cheese had multiple cheeses and bacon! The breakfast sando was delicious and had a sauce with a kick! I will definitely come back again!

The place is small and not the usual asthetic coffee shops but once you are there it’s a really nice vibe. The girl who took my order was really sweet. I got a cold brew with vanilla foam it was really good. There is free WiFi. They are pet friendly. Overall great
