It was decent but not enough sauce. My first slice was good, but the second slice only had a very small amount of sauce. 95% of the slice was cheese on crust. Very skimpy on toppings as well.

My husband and I don’t often have time for date nights but we were able to enjoy a rare one and had a good dinner at Grimaldi’s recently. We each ordered a small pizza and a Greek salad to share. Everything was fresh and delicious. We took the leftovers home and even re-heated, it was yummy.

Grimaldi’s is a Brooklyn based pizzeria which has opened up branches in 10 states around the country including a few places in the Dallas area. We recently dined at their this place at The Shops in Highland Village and found everything to be ok.

We ordered through the restaurant’s website at 6:40. They passed it to Uber. The driver arrived for the pickup on time, and it was ten minutes before the restaurant even told him they had not even started the order. We got the two small pizzas at 8:10. It was $80. No complaints about the food but the restaurant management has some work to do on timing and service.

Grimaldi’s is not simply the best NY-style pizza we can get in Dallas-Fort Worth, but a contender for best I’ve had, including in Brooklyn. Get the Don, add mushrooms, and get it “extra crispy.” Add a Mediterranean salad as a zesty appetizer. The restaurant itself has a lounge atmosphere with Sinatra and his peers, warm lighting, and visible pizza-making operations to watch your pizza get made.

This place is a gem! It’s great for family nights or relaxed date nights. The pizzas are very authentic and the flavor it’s amazing! Coal brick ovens. They have about three sizes (12”, 16”, and 18”) I believe, and you can do combinations of half and half. The place have plenty of indoors and covered outdoors seating, for small and large parties. They have a great selection of wines (6oz, 9oz, and bottled), and cocktails. Their signature cocktails (vodka, tequila, rum, etc) are about $13, and the desserts include cannoli, tiramisu, and cheese cake. Service was extremely nice, and prompt, they give you good recommendations, and check on you continuously. Prices are good for the quality and quantity of the food (pizzas ranging from $13 to around $30) depending on the size and ingredients.

Great “Brooklyn” style pizza, coming from someone who actually lived in BK. My husband gets their gf pizza and loves it. Yes it is a bit pricey but honestly it’s worth it and reminds us of our old neighborhood. Would highly recommend.

The place looked run by teenagers.

Looking at the rest of these reviews I keep seeing a common trend, well allow me to continue it. This place is astonishingly overpriced for what you get. At the end of the day no one is allowed to treat a common man’s food that is pizza, like some amazing achievement. I don’t know who supplied them with all of those awards(which are proudly displayed as you walk in) but I assure you they are undeserving. The pizza was very mediocre but was priced like a prime steak with all the fixings. Not to mention the people who see to be running this establishment all look like they’re on the brink of hanging themselves.

Not worth. No substitutions on anything. If you want an over cooked flour frisbee, this is your place to eat. The servers are unattentive and and rude. I can sum it up as, list a thing and it was bad. Even the clueless managers. The only good part is atmosphere but that’s not much when you’re eating tortilla style pizza from college days. (Edit: Overpriced on everything. These people are going out of business. They will learn. And be out of business.)
