30 of our family went to lunch at Hartefeld after a life cycle event. Wow… What a venue with terrific sight lines of the golf course from every angle in the restaurant. We all ordered off the lunch menu. Great selection. I had the mushroom soup (Come on, it’s the center of the mushroom world) and it was great. Followed by their roast beef sandwich on a crusty roll, fruit and coffee. Great taste, presentation, excellent proportions. I think I speak for all at the table. But the best part was the service. We were treated like royalty in a very professional up scale manner. Very impressive.

My husband and I usually enjoy happy hour at The Grill, however, this past Friday we were terribly disappointed. I had the pretzel and crab dip, my husband had a hamburger. The pretzels were hard as rocks and the crab? (If there was any crabmeat?) was lousy! It had the worst seasoning ever! My husband’s hamburger was way too salty! Shame! Hoping that the regular chef

We had dinner there with another couple & had a delicious meal. One of us had the pot roast one the salmon one the scallops & one the fish. We didn’t have one complaint. The server was Beverly who did a good job. We will definitely go back

Outside dining at Hartefeld is wonderful because of the view. The service is generally very good. Bar drinks very good. The food is only fair. Rarely do I leave Hartefeld and say, “Wow the food was really good.” Too bad, such potential.

If you enjoy eating at a restaurant where you have to ask 3 or more times for your drinks or dinner, and wait upwards of 50 minutes for your food, then this is the place for you!
Food is inconsistent and service is… well, let’s just say non existent !!!!

Stick to eating and drinking at the bar. Maybe stick to soup and salad. You never know what you are going to get.

Thanksgiving dinner was not the same as years in the past, less food, higher prices, no seafood anymore and all the food was cold. This use to be a 5 star, but was very disappointing this year. Not sure if we will every go back. Been there for the last three years and loved it, but for almost $300.00 for a family of 4 & a hour ride it has to be worth it!!!!

Haven’t been there in years though we’ve had big and small dinner parties there several times. The food has never been more than mediocre at best. The atmosphere is nice. I haven’t been back In years. Maybe they’ve improved.
