The food came out fast, which I appreciated. There’s a wide variety of burger options on the menu, so you’re not stuck choosing between the usual basics. And if you’re not in the mood for a burger, they also offer wings and other options, which adds some flexibility.
I ordered the Hawaiian Punch burger – a double patty burger topped with pineapple (it normally comes with jalapeño pesto, but I opted out). The patties were juicy and cooked well, the bun was soft without being soggy, and the pineapple was charred perfectly, which added a great sweet, smoky flavor. It was very flavorful overall and definitely filling.
I went with the sweet potato fries. They were okay – not bad, but not the highlight of the meal. They do offer other fry options, including regular, truffle and thick cut, so there’s room to customize your side choice.
The prices felt affordable for the portion size and quality, especially considering the location and overall vibe.
Overall, Grill Marks in Columbia is a great casual burger spot with good energy, solid food, and quick service. I’d definitely go back to try another burger.
Walking into Mark’s Grill, I was immediately impressed by the welcoming atmosphere. They offer both indoor seating and a nice outdoor patio. The restaurant was a bit busy when I arrived, and I was asked if sitting at the bar was okay, which I didn’t mind at all.
As soon as I sat down, the bartender greeted me and took my order right away. excellent service from the start. He was very outgoing and friendly. When the seat next to me opened up, he immediately cleaned the area, which was great to see, especially during a busy time. The place overall felt very clean and well maintained.
I ordered the Smokehouse Burger with fries. While waiting, the bartender consistently checked on me and kept my drink refilled, which I really appreciated. He even came back to let me know that the food was taking a little longer than usual since they weren’t expecting it to be that busy. I completely understood and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere while waiting. The food arrived in about 24 minutes and looked fantastic.
The burger was cooked exactly how I asked which was well done and tasted great. I upgraded my fries to the bleu pimiento fries, and they were absolutely delicious. Everything was spot on. After lunch, I ordered a Cookies & Cream dirt shake, and it was amazing. The presentation was fun, and you could tell care went into how it was made.
They also have a full bar with a good selection of alcohol, although I didn’t order any drinks this visit. I spent about $36.00 total including tip.
Overall, my experience at Mark’s Grill was excellent. Great food, outstanding service, and a clean, welcoming environment. 5/5 — I’ll definitely be back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The burgers, fries and onion crispys were good. The sweet potato fries were mid. The Chicken Sandwich was also really good, but felt like it could have used something else. It really just felt like chicken tenders on a bun, but again it was incredibly tasty.
The milk shakes kinda left a lot to be desired. I felt like the hype was more than the product. The smores one specifically (which I wanted it to be the best) just didn’t have much flavor at all. The whipped cream they use also isnt sweeted at all, just cream. And the graham cracker had no structural integrity. The dirt one was better! Not perfect, but better!
All this being said, I would totally come back here. It was a great place with great staff and great food and great prices!
I ordered the make your own burger, my man got a smash burger, and my daughter got chicken strips and fries. The appetizer was fried pickles.
I give it a 4 out 5 bc the food was good, but for a Sunday, they were slightly busy, but the food took forever after order. The kitchen was slow compared to how many waitresses there were.
