This was literally a random stop. I was just craving for some filipino food and they were serving breakfast. They had a cool combo option that look appetizing, rice, eggs and an entree. I decided to give into temptation and ordered it. But to my surprise, the cashier said they are doing a BOGO deal!!! What!!??? Ok i’m definitely happy I decided to get it cuz now i have a meal for breakfast and lunch. I loved the entrees here and would definitely come back, so cheap too, only about $12. I wonder if they do this every Sunday.

I keep giving this place chances because I crave Filipino food, but the experience is consistently disappointing. The older women serving the food are very rude no matter the time or day and it doesn’t change even if you approach them politely. At times, it honestly feels intentional, like they pretend not to hear customers or completely ignore requests.

I don’t understand why the management at Seafood City hasn’t addressed this with proper customer service training. This behavior does not reflect Filipino pride. As a Filipino, it’s embarrassing especially if a foreigner were dining here. It makes me wonder: are they nicer to foreigners but not to their fellow Filipinos?

Seriously, be kind. Customer service matters. Be nice, mga Tita at Lola.

The bagnet was chewy. Their biko was hard and stale. The sago in the taho was mushy. Otherwise, the lola working the cashier was very sweet❤️.

If you are eating in the store then this is a good counter service restaurant. However if you are using a service like door dash then it is not worth the time. I ordered 7 items and a side of rice. The restaurant said they were sold out of the 7 items but were going to still deliver the side of rice, 1 side of rice. I had to tell the delivery person to cancel the order because they wouldn’t do it.

****Their employees don’t wash their hands after using the restroom and they serve and cook food.
*** They don’t wear mask or gloves when serving food… coronavirus is still around.

*****burnt food, and it’s cold, and it’s too expensive. The quality is not there. I think they are thinking 17 pesos per meal. It’s US dollars. $17 dollars for really bad food is ludicrous.

*****Reheated food and they sell it for full price – I can tell. It was bland, tasted like they just added water and reheated. Then people pay $17 dollars for it.

The food quality is not there. Most of the grilled items are burnt. I bought the tilapia and pampano and I tasted the grill – it’s bitter tasting. It’s $10 for the fish items and it’s over cooked and it doesn’t taste great.

Some of their food items they don’t have a sign that tells you what meat is in the food.

I expected to be eating beef, but it was pork.

I expected to be eating beef, but it was goat meat.

And these are dishes that had beef every time.

I don’t know how they can get away selling burnt food to the public, and the quality isn’t there.

I ordered a meal set in person between 5:30 and 7:00PM on Monday, September 29th, 2025. The grilled fish mackerel was not fresh and tasted like it was old. The chicken BBQ was dry, over-reheated, and too small for $4.50+ tax per stick. I spent $21.00+ tax and felt it was a waste of money. They have reduced the portion sizes while significantly increasing their prices. I believe they are taking advantage of their customers. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND HARD-EARNED MONEY IN THIS FOOD BUSINESS
(I did not take a picture, go see it for yourself)

Awful. I went in for brunch Saturday intending to get the specials that’s not usually available during the week. First stop was the Cebuchon (roasted pork belly). Since it’s usually a specialty, the cost is $17.99 per pound. Next stop was the hot buffet counter and got an order of pancit bihon. Started looking for a table, did I mention it’s Saturday? The place was busy and tables are scarce, seems you also have to compete for them with their employees possibly on break since they were organizing their “paluwagan.” With their manager as the ring leader! I’m not sure if they know pyramid games are illegal both in the US and the Philippines.

Anyway, got my table. My excitement went down the drain right after I tried biting into the “crispy” pork skin, it was hard and awful. The meat was dry and tasteless. The bihon was a little more appetizing with all the toppings trying to make up for the dry and stale noodles.

The service was less to be desired also. It was in a very glacial phase. Some of the employees I encountered seems to be thinking that they are doing you a favor of serving you. And another thing, why do employees here hang in the bathroom? Are they hiding from doing work? Sitting on the throne texting doesn’t make you employee of the month!

Definitely not worth it. I could have gotten roasted pork at a Vietnamese deli, and would have cost less. Not to mention more edible.

Total damage for the two items, $22.60 not including the aggravation from the employees. Total waste of $20!

I stop by here every time I fly into Santa Ana Airport. The food is good. There is a full grocery store, Jollibee, Grill City, street food kiosk and a couple bakeries inside the building. There is something for everyone here.

I love supporting Filipino business and community but no one’s gonna wanna buy or eat anything from the most unfriendliest customer service, honestly I don’t leave bad reviews unless it’s that bad and tonight it was that bad. The ate mid 60’s or older was quite mean when we were looking at the food and was meant to buy food there, we went to jollibee instead. It’s 7:45pm, seafood city closes at 9pm and was agitatedly asked “are you ready?” With a forceful tone, with a smile I responded “we’re looking around” then I hear a repeated mocking of me in the background “just looking around lang daw” like ate i get it it’s close to closing time. We had a long day too as much as you did, Filipino to Filipino that attitude will not get you nowhere. I used to work here by Valerio’s bakeshop, I work in a dine in restaurant as a manager and I get how busy and agitating the job gets yet there was no line behind us and for that we were taking our time not bothering them deciding what to get yet you made us felt like you were annoyed by simply our presence. I speak the language and I understood every little words you were muttering to yourself and coworker. Go to Manila food mark or island pacific by lake forest, better service and attitude. For this reason I will never coming back to grill city alone, I hope the management actually train workers how hospitality management operates.

People are nice if you’re nice to them, I just moved to the area last month since I’m new to the area I just bought food for two days and then I put in my fridge and then the next day all foods are so bad and expired. I’m a filipino and I’m craving for some filipino food and Since this is the only filipino food close to my place I went here again yesterday after work to get some food for my dinner, I bought the fish with soup on it and then suddenly my stomach rejected it, I threw up and keep going back and forth to the bathroom.
