Packed! Came to Sugarland just to experience Seafood City on a long weekend and most Filipinos drove from different cities to experience a piece of home. So worth it. The night we came we ordered chicharon bulaklak, Laing, bopis, squid, grilled fish and our tummy was happy. The next day we ordered take out of grilled fish, halo halo ($10 for two!). The line was long all the way to the entrance of the seafood city for more than two hours. But everybody was polite and enjoying the karaoke going on promoting a concert in October for Gary V. Must come!!!

I ordered yesterday food including bihon, menudo, lechon belly for the new year. I picked up the food at 3.50pm. We ate it for the new year unfortunately the bihon had a spoiled smell before midnight. We couldn’t even eat it. The menudo doesn’t taste like menudo. It looks like kalderata. Im quite disappointed.

Nice selection of Filipino food for all your different taste buds. It took 30 minutes just to get through the cafeteria style line.

I had mixed feeling about Grill City. The line was really long on weekends. I came here during a weekday before dinner time. There were just me and friend in the line. Employees were helpful explaining the dishes. I got my Pancit Palabok and Pork Adobo. They tasted fresh but I won’t want the hassle to get food like this. I would go elsewhere.

Update to my previous review: I finally made it in line early enough to get a good spot. Maybe about a 10 minute wait. Was it worth it? I could’ve waited an hour and it would still be worth it. This food is so heavenly delicious! My mouth was already watering as I stood in line watching the meat being grilled to perfection and as I got closer to the food, my head was spinning trying to narrow down what I should choose.

Since it was 9 am, I decided to get a breakfast plate, the Grilled Silog value meal with two meats, garlic rice and two eggs. For the two meats I bordered longanisa and corned beef hash. I also ordered a foot long turon and a pound of chicharron. Oooohweee! Everything tastes so good and my belly feels like a stuffed pig. No complaints. I couldn’t even finish everything, so I took some to go. My advice? Come soon and come hungry! Why are you still reading this review? Go get in line now!

Disclaimer*** I did not eat here yet. I tried! I really tried!! The line was outrageous!!! I’m not mad at them. The food looks and smells delicious. Located inside of Seafood City Grocery Store. I came for lunch…line out the door. Came back at 2:30 pm. Line still out the door! The atmosphere is vibrant. Lots of families eating and enjoying themselves. Lots of conversation in the air. Very friendly and communal vibe.

I’ll be back soon. Hope I can get there early and find a good spot in line.

Grill City is located inside Seafood City Market.

In the first few weeks, from its initial operation, I’ve heard about bad feedback from customers like people have to wait long lines just to buy their food. Nowadays, things are a bit organized and a little better.

With regards to foods, they do offer a wide selection of all-time Filipino favorite dishes like sisig, sinigang, adobo, crispy pata, dinuguan, ginataang puso ng saging, and much more.

On the grilled foods, they do have grilled pork belly, grilled squid, grilled pompano, and pork BBQ.

I ordered the pork BBQ, and it does taste good. The grilled squid tasted fair.

They also have a lot of Filipino dessert to choose from. To name a few are turon, camote-q, ginataang bolo, bilo, Halo-halo, and much more.

Despite a few flaws from the start, I’m sure a lot of people will be back to experience the taste of flavors that they missed from the Philippines. I wouldn’t mind coming back for sure!

Love the pork BBQ as always. They now have a bowl which you can see at a kiosk inside Seafood City and eat at Grill City. It’s very affordable. The line was not long at 6PM on a Monday.

So many of my friends have been raving about this place. I had stopped in a few times but each time the line way crazy long.1-2 hr wait.

So I decided to come back once the hype died down a bit. We came on a Friday night and it had calmed down a lot. Probably about a 15 min wait now.

We got a little bit of everything. The bbq chicken is better than the bbq pork skewers in my opinion, both were ok. The sauce is solid.

We got the squid, I was not a fan. My favorite were the lumpia’s, it’s pretty expensive though you can get a big tray of them from places like godos.

We got both the chicken skin and the pork skin, the chicken skin was one of my favorites but it is quite salty.

We also got the pancit, it’s pretty bland here. And the roasted pork, it was also one of the better items. But it was super fatty.

Finished off with the fried footlong banana and that was good not overly sweet. Washed it down with the mango drink. The drink itself was good but the little balls were super sweet.

Overall, for a food court it is okay but nothing I would wait over an hr for.

Been excited to try this place for awhile now. Pork skewers were great and absolutely love their spiced vinegar recipe. I’ve tried to replicate but cant figure it out. They ran out of pancit 2 hours before close and had no intentions on making more. Lumpia was some of the worst I’ve tried.

There are far too many issues with this location that are referenced repeatedly in Seafood City reviews.
The line to order food was regularly so long that people would have to wait at least 90 minutes to over 2 hours in line.
There are also a number of complaints about issues with orders that include receiving “cold food.”
We attempted to eat here twice but left before ordering each time before ordering. The first time was due to time constraints and the wait to order being at least 2 hours. The second time was due to the wait time to order being OVER 2 hours and hearing multiple complaints about the food.
It was extremely disappointing and saw no effort being made on the part of management to improve the situation.
It is doubtful we will attempt to patronize this location in the future.
