We ordered 2 chicken over rice platters for delivery, right in town. The food came fresh, hot and delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed it, and will definitely order again! Thank you Grill 36!

Update: ordered a Chicken soup tonight and it was everything I needed to soothe me. I’ll be back for another one this winter, it was DELICIOUS. Thank you!

Grill 36 is an incredible place to eat! Here’s why:

I ordered the falafel for an appetizer. The outside was crispy and crunchy and the inside was soft and warm. The dipping sauce combined with the flavors of the falafel was incredible. I inhaled them..

For my lunch I ordered the New York Chicken Gyro platter over rice. I ordered it with the spicy “kick” sauce.

The chicken was plentiful and unbelievably delicious. The chicken had a beautiful flavor from being chargrilled and seasoned perfectly. Underneath the sauce and chicken was a beautiful layer of rice which hit the spot. On the side was a freshly made salad complete with olives chickpeas tomatoes you name it. The salad was incredibly delicious and fresh.

I had the baklava to finish my feast and my god there aren’t any words at the moment that can describe the food ecstasy that I enjoyed while enjoying each delectable bite.

The only negative that I can think of in regards to Grill 36 is that they inevitably have to close at the end of day.

As I write this I’m dreaming of the next time I can be so lucky to eat here again. Being that they have really nice indoor seating, my next visit will undoubtedly be a sit down meal where I can sample more of their delicious cuisine.

Nothing but respect and love for this place, it’s owner, and employees. Till next time, thank you for the experience!

On the way home from the Belford Ferry, we decided to stop at Grill36, a little spot right off of route 36. What a wonderful surprise! The decor is cute and comfortable, the service beyond friendly (thank you Sean and Phil), and the food delicious.

The mixed appetizer platter was enjoyed by all, particularly the falafel. Our skewered chicken and lamb and gyros were all super tasty.

To top it off, we had an amazing dessert of spun pastry and ricotta- Kunafa. It was everyone’s favorite and quite unique. But make sure to order it early in your meal because it’s made fresh and takes some time.

As frequent visitors of Middle Eastern restaurants in Paterson, we were hoping to find a place closer to home with a similar quality. Unfortunately this place didn’t meet those expectations. The lentil soup was bland. The yellow rice was not yellow. It was basic white rice with some seasoning making it a pale brown color. The lamb gyro seemed to be lamb chopmeat with seasonings chopped into smaller pieces. Gyro meat cut from a skewer is by far a much better tasting meat. The chicken gyro was covered in seasonings and had a good flavor but again it was chunks of cubed chicken, not cut from a skewer. The falafel was fresh and tasty. The food was okay but if you’re looking for authentic Arabic food take the trip to Paterson instead.

Grill 36 is the perfect place to fulfill that Mediterranean craving you have. The place is owned and operated by a very nice Egyptian man. So all there food has an Egyptian flair. IT’S DELICIOUS! Change is good, and it’s time to try something new. Go to Grill 36, its a great place to eat, and it’s BYOB.

Ordered a take out order for the first time and was very pleased with the friendliness of the staff and the taste of the food. Lamb pita was delicious and held up perfectly during the travel home. Baklava was flaky, sweet and delicious as well. Definitely recommend this place for authentic Mediterranean food, looking forward to trying the rest of their selection.

The food was amazing, one of the few places on this stretch of road that was open, inviting, and with plant-based options after a peek at the menu! Falafel with hummus, Lentil Soup, and a warm pistachio pastry treat which the gentlemen serving warmed to a temperature that had it melting into the taste beds and unlocking the oils in the nuts.
