Me and my mother was in Culpepper today. Well we were craving something different and local in the area. I immediately pulled up local joints in the area, and this hidden gem popped up. The moment we walked through the door we were treated like family!!! Welcomed with big smile by one the waitresses and told to sit wherever we liked. We chose a table right at the front. We was greeted by our waitress. I didn’t get her name but she had a polar bear sweater on. She was very happy and explained everything on menu clearly!!! Even though she was busy she kept that smile and took her time to suggest items on the menu. Well she made the right choice!! The Fish Tacos just smacked ❤️❤️ , onion rings unforgettable ❤️❤️ and mom’s fish and chips , she said was best she had in years!!! We laughed, we cried a little, but we made memories!!!! I can’t wait to visit again when I slide in the area ❤️

If you are tired of the same old cookie-cutter chain restaurants, Grill 309 is a breath of fresh air. Our waitress, Beth, was wonderful. She was incredibly friendly, helpful, and really made us feel welcome.
My wife ordered the fish tacos, which were delicious and came in a very generous portion. Following Beth’s recommendation, I tried the Chicken and Waffles. It was a great choice—huge portions and perfectly cooked.
Note: The syrup has a spicy kick to it. While I’m personally not a fan of heat but if you like a little “sweet and heat” combo, you’ll love it!
Don’t waste your time circling for street parking. There is a 3-hour free municipal parking lot nearby that makes the visit stress-free.
Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the Culpeper area!

We had done some shopping in Culpeper and decided to come back here to get something to eat because we were starving. We both ordered burgers, one with fries the other with sweet potato fries. The atmosphere was just cozy and warm. The server we had was very attentive, and checked up on us as needed. I don’t remember the portions being as big as they were. With that being said it was perfect. The burgers were absolutely amazing. I would say that the price was a very reasonable especially for the dining experience and portion sizes.

We had an amazing experience at Grill 309 in Culpeper!
For starters, we had the feta bruschetta and chicken wings. The bruschetta was smooth and flavorful, with a lovely drizzle of balsamic on top. The wings were spicy but just right — tender and full of flavor.
We ordered the pita sandwich, and it was perfect — they substituted the chicken for crispy bacon, and it was absolutely delicious. We also had the patty melt – AMAZING
For drinks, I went with the Limoncello Refresher — a must-try! Fresh, bittersweet, and simply delicious.
Our server, Gwen, was the sweetest! She answered all our questions about the menu with a smile.
To finish, we shared a brownie with vanilla ice cream — the perfect ending to a wonderful meal.

We happened upon this gem by luck when heading home from visiting our daughter … we were googling Chicken & Waffles lol don’t judge. Right away it felt like pure comfort & relaxation it the coolest diner ever. The atmosphere was so welcoming as were the staff. Now for the good part my husband got the chicken & waffles with a slightly spicy maple syrup and I ordered the get this hamburger on a glazed donut “bun”!!!! What!!! Yep it was amazing we split each sandwich in half and enjoyed them both and don’t get me started on the out of this world onion rings. This was the most dangerously tasty food we have gotten out in a long while! 10 out of 10 checking it out is a must!!! I know we will be back … with friends and family

This is my first time here as I’m passing through. The Google reviews made this place seem like a comfort level food establishment. However, when it came to the food presentation was there, but the taste wasn’t. Mostly when you get a large sandwich the taste is lacking. I ordered a double cheese burger and beer cheese soup. The burger was not good at all as it was dry and undercooked. I ended up stripping it. Though the beer cheese was fabulous! My family member ordered the Cuban and they said it was mediocre. I’m glad I got the opportunity to eat here, but I won’t be back.

Five stars. Spinach artichoke dip—warm, creamy, loaded. Beer cheese chicken pretzel roll sandwich is unfair. Truffle chicken salad: get it deconstructed. The onion rings aren’t finger food, they’re an arm workout. Bloody Marys had kick, mimosas weren’t watered down. Our server was on it—no wait, no attitude, knew the menu. Come eat. Stay happy.
