This was an absolute delight.
My wife and I had seen a review on a local Facebook page and decided to pop over.
We are visiting family and I’d never been anywhere like this before. The vibe was great, the food was simple but delicious and the milkshake might be the best I’ve ever had.
It was surprisingly busy for around 3pm on a Tuesday, but the service was efficient and friendly.
If you are ever nearby you should absolutely go along.

This place is adorable. It’s so cool to see such an old business theme still surviving. I can understand why to. The root beer was wonderful. It’s a full experience. The food is good and the staff are kind. We will be going back.

Very quaint place. The waitress was super friendly and was great with my 9 year old. I can’t comment on the actual lunch/breakfast food, but the ice cream was delicious. What I saw others order looked really good.

The atmosphere is so nostalgic and comforting, the food is always great I love the chicken sub with pineapple, it’s delicious. The wait time can be long but that’s because one girl does the whole front and she’s the sweetest thing in the world.

I use to really enjoy coming here. So much has changed and not for the better. Came in on Saturday around 3pm with a group of 5. The place wasn’t busy. The service was horrible. The food was messed up but the waiter was pretty much nonexistent to fix anything. We did not get any refills. The food was dropped off by a different waiter who had quite the attitude. Our waiter was too busy on his phone. Sad to say but it was a very disappointing experience altogether and two of the people in our group it was their first time being there I’m pretty sure it will also be their last.

Beautiful place!!! Was really looking forward to eating here but it took an hour for drinks alone. There was only 2 other tables being served and we were told they were understaffed with 2 servers. We waited an hour for food and was told they only had one burner and had to prepare one meal at a time. There was 9 of us and 3 meals were done, sitting , while the others were being prepared. We left. I’m hoping the food is amazing if you decide to come here.

Recommended by friends so we drove an hour to try. We asked questions about the menu esp about the Club Sandwich. The waiter acknowledged it was in fact a stacked sandwich. We chose it hot with toasted white. It first arrived on non toasted wheat as a regulars sandwich. Asked another waitress if it was right, she said no and sent it back. The next one arrived like the pic. Looked like slop. No lettuce, tomato or any of the such. My waiter never returned(we were his only table) no refills, no check ins or any service. Terrible experience.

Was there late-afternoon so the lunch crowd was already gone. So no troubles with service and I really enjoyed the food and the prices. Loved the fried green tomatoes and the chicken croissant sandwich! Plan to go back soon.

This was a great find during our visit to Kenova. What a phenomenal store with a great diner inside. We had breakfast and enjoyed our omlets and coffee. Reasonably priced!
