The atmosphere is great. The feng shui has a good flow.
The food presentation (see pic) was great and it’s just how the staff presents it and really appreciated their hospitality.
Now, there is a short coming with the bacon. I’m used to having bacon that is wiggly and supple versus hard and like a beef jerky. I can tell that they served me from pre-cooked buffet style that was just sitting in a serving pan back in the kitchen. Along with the potatoes that were probably sitting there for a while, as they were kind of dried out and not fresh. It all tasted good. It’s just that the freshness part was lacking. But here’s the kicker… Would I come back again? Yes, because it’s, again, the “experience” and I’m hoping that management will see this review and make minor adjustments to optimize the experience for their patrons.
The breakfast place that sets the standard in the Lehigh Valley is Diner 248! They are hands-down the best and their chefs are incredible as the line outside the door is a testament to their quality.
When coming up the street you have to really be careful because you can miss it so just drive slow-slowly in the right lane until you see the sign it sits closer to the building. I provided a pic so that you can see and prepare. There’s a lot of signage pollution so you can easily miss it. Enjoy! ☺️
Parking was extremely difficult. We had to circle the building five times before finally finding a spot. The parking lot spacing also felt a bit tight; however, the restaurant mentioned they will be moving to a larger location soon, so hopefully the parking situation will improve with that change.
When we arrived, our initial wait to be seated was about 15 minutes. Once seated, it took another 10 minutes before our server came over — but once we met him, the experience definitely turned around. Our server, Jahlil (I apologize if I misspelled your name), was amazing. He was handling several tables completely on his own, in a fully packed restaurant with every table filled and a line of guests still waiting to be seated, yet he remained calm, professional, and incredibly attentive. He checked in frequently, got our drink and food orders in quickly, and was genuinely kind and pleasant to talk to. Huge kudos to him.
As for the food, I would personally rate it a 10/10. My 9-year-old son rated his meal a 7/10, which was mainly due to sensory sensitivities rather than quality. Our bill came out to on or around $45 for 2 people
We ordered:
• Nutella pancakes
• Lemon ricotta blueberry pancakes
• Breakfast potatoes
• Bacon
• Cranberry juice
• Hot chocolate
The Nutella pancakes were packed with Nutella, peanut butter, and bananas. While I enjoyed them, my son was a bit overstimulated by how rich and layered they were because of his sensory issues.
The lemon ricotta blueberry pancakes, however, were an absolute standout 10/10, cooked to perfection, light, fluffy, and full of flavor. I would highly recommend them.
The breakfast potatoes were excellent and cooked perfectly. The bacon was okay, a bit undercooked for my son’s preference, again related more to texture sensitivity than preparation quality.
The restaurant itself was very clean and well maintained. Despite being so busy, the bussers stayed on top of clearing tables and keeping the space tidy, which I really appreciated.
Aside from the difficult parking and initial wait, I honestly have very few complaints about our visit. The staff worked incredibly hard under high-volume conditions, the food was delicious, and the service from Jahlil truly stood out.
We will definitely be back and I’m looking forward to seeing the improvements once they move to their new, larger location.
Such a cute place with adorable decor and delicious food, just do it. Go.
Our waitress was super nice and very knowledgeable with the menu. The environment inside felt so calm and relaxing, as if I was at home eating breaking.
I will definitely recommend this place to others and I will be returning in the future.
I stopped in with my parents on Friday around noon. Some things were good, others were disappointing.
I couldn’t decide between the breakfast tacos and the G145 egg sandwich, so I got both. This was the first time I ever ordered breakfast tacos so I’m glad they were delicious! They were piled high with chorizo, scrambled eggs, tater tots, cheddar jack cheese, pico, and sour cream. The G145 egg sandwich consists of two eggs, bacon, & American cheese on a brioche bun. The bacon was cooked perfectly and the roll was soft and flavorful.
My dad ordered a strip steak and eggs. He said, “it was okay, it’s kind of tough”. A medium rare steak should never be tough.
My mom ordered two eggs, breakfast potatoes, and toast. She enjoyed the eggs and toast, but said the potatoes were awful. I had some with my sandwich and I have to agree with her. They were bland and dry.
Overall, I thought the food was pretty good, but the service was substandard. Our server was super unattentive. Eating and socializing behind the bar was more of a priority than checking on her tables. I was still generous enough to tip 20%.
Pickup and delivery are both available. Reservations are recommended for parties of 6 or more.
