The original Grey Eagle Taqueria is located inside The Grey Eagle Music Hall in Asheville, NC. We serve traditional-style tacos and so much more. It’s all prepared in-house using fresh ingredients. Came here for country music brunch today. The tickets were sold separately, and were more expensive than advertised. The food was mediocre (my breakfast bowl was pretty much flavorless but the breakfast burrito looked better). My tiny Bloody Mary was $13, We saw friends & family of the artist get Bloody Mary glasses 2x bigger. Not sure if those were the same price. Three stars for cute venue, but otherwise find a place with better food & drinks. The artist they hired (someone named Julia) had a nice voice but was extremely unfriendly and kept repeatedly hawking badly printed tshirts.

I ordered 2 chicken and cheese quesadilla’s because usually when I eat at other places its not enough. But I ended up taking one home cause it was more than enough. So delicious I give it a 10/10. Also the staff is nice and gets ppl thru fast.

What a fun night out! We arrived early for a Shawn James show not knowing what to expect. We were greeted by a friendly owner, friendly wait staff at the Taqueria, friendly bartender, and the band performing a sound check! BONUS!! The quesadilla and nachos were filled with flavor and the cocktails were easy to order with virtually no wait throughout the evening. Great little venue hidden in the River Arts District.

Got the Mexican street corn and batata taco. Both were delicious. Corn could use a little bit more spice on it but grilled perfectly with just the right amount of cheese and mayo. Batata taco was delicious. Went for lunch and sat outside.

I’ve eaten at the Grey Eagle awhile back and enjoyed when they had their food truck downtown but until this past weekend I had never been to a show there. It was such a great place to listen to music. The venue is on the smaller side which actually added to the experience. I had a great view (3rd row) and I loved not having to wait in lines for drinks or the restroom. There’s even an outdoor back fenced in area with tables, benches, etc. and a tv to see the show when you step out back. The service was friendly and I could tell they had everything planned out so well!

Very Kitchy, run-down-looking atmosphere producing AMAZING food! The bartender was very patient with our indecision and helpful with making reccomendations. So 4 stars for service even though you order and get your food at the bar and you have to bus your own table.
