grenache is pretty hard to rate:

the playfullness of their menu combined with precise execution (e.g. the bouillabaise is an intense extraction of sea flavours, the mussles reduction even tops that with a flavour explosion) makes it an exceptional evening.

some more or less annoying things leave room for improvement:

12 courses – some of which take extra time – makes the timeframe from 7:30 to 10:30 pretty tight. at 11 we were basically complimented out. and there is no point in just taking their small menu.

but maybe we are just strange diners who have lot to talk about when we meet – and nostalgic about the ‘good old times’ when fine dining would usually not end before midnight on a saturday evening.

red wine drops on the table are a no go – napkins around the bottle neck have already been invented.

while the menu is exceptionally playfull & well executed as mentioned, it does miss consistency.
one example – the bouillabaise after the mussles reduction leaves a bland feeling – reversing the order would build an arc of suspense.

overall grenache is certainly underrated @4.7

and it’s certainly value for money & thus highly recommended by us.

we thoroughly enjoyed our little christmas celebration there.

and the many little flowers sprinkled on the many memorable dishes.

Grenache absolutely deserves 5 stars – our evening there was a true 10/10 experience. The staff was incredibly attentive, and Ileana, the sommelier, created a beautifully elegant atmosphere that made the night feel truly special. Tiago, our server, was phenomenal: he was warm, professional, and so knowledgeable that he elevated every course and made us feel genuinely cared for. The food, prepared by star chef Philippe, was stunning in both presentation and flavor, with each dish tasting as memorable as it looked. Between the exceptional service, the unforgettable ambiance, and the extraordinary cuisine, Grenache is a must-visit Michelin-star experience.

This place has been better than places I’ve been with multiple stars! The staff are super friendly and know to let you eat or to explain to you the tastings. The wine pairing apparently (I don’t drink) my partner says was exceptionally good. The food, the presentation, the atmosphere all felt exclusive but the place still had life and didn’t have an air of pretentiousness while still being prestigious. Highly recommend.

Excellent French restaurant serving very tasty food + great wine list with a strong focus on wines from Burgundy which I love! We went to celebrate our anniversary and it did not disappoint. We received a very warm welcome and we started off with some amuses-bouches. I particularly enjoyed the tandoori morcilla, two flavours I wouldn’t have put together but worked incredibly well. Next the bread course came which consisted of a semi brioche type roll and a mini French baguette with butter, olive oil and olive tapenade. The first course proper was a marinated blue fin tuna with a yuzu cucumber chutney and bearnaise emulsion, we both loved this! Next up we had foie gras and smoked eel with beetroot, I really enjoyed this but my wife wasn’t as keen to mix foie gras and the smoked eel. Nothing wrong with the dish, it just wasn’t to her particular taste. The red mullet was cooked perfectly and a real winner with the chef paying homage to Portugal and his French roots by paring the mullet with Carolino rice and a classic bouillabaisse sauce, nom nom!
The main corse of porco preto pressa which they cooked blushing pink ( how it should be IMO ) was delicious. We opted to take the cheese course which was fine, the aged São Jorge was a bit lively for us both as it kind of burnt the inside of our mouths. Both deserts were excellent, I particularly enjoyed masala chia ice cream with chocolate mousse and gingerbread. As they knew it was our anniversary they brought my wife additional small dessert which was really nice touch. We didn’t opt to have any of the wine packages as we wanted to drink what we liked and went for champagne to start with followed by an excellent Rully 1er Cru. Overall a wonderful evening, really nice cosy ambiance with great front of house and kitchen team. Attention to detail was observed throughout the entire evening and they are thoroughly deserving of their new ⭐️ distinction. Highly recommend for a special occasion.

Higly recommended! 1 star is easy. Best dishes are tuna, foie gras, red mullet and lanqoustine. Only downsize is machine gun speed presentation of wines and dishes. Slow down please, it will calm also atmosphere and serve the purpose. Thank you and good luck!

Exceptional in every way! Every bite perfectly plated with layers of flavors for the eye and palette! One of the best dining experiences I have had anywhere in this world. Chef Gelfi and his team are to be commended; and not missed. Everything you want a Michelin restaurant to deliver.
