Our table enjoyed the service tremendously. Very friendly vibes and comfortable seating.
All of our dishes came out at the same time. Our water glasses were filled consistently, and without asking.
Two people in our party ordered a Greek salad with salmon, and I ordered the Eggplant and Herbs (came with two sides).
Everything was delicious. Kudos to @mrsmandolin and team!

The team behind one of our all-time favorite Miami eateries, Mandolin, has done it again with its new all-day diner Gregory’s in the Upper East Side. Housed in the Vagabond Hotel, this all-day diner offers updated takes on classic Americana cuisine with influences from the owner’s own upbringing and we got a taste of its weekend brunch menu.
We started the meal with the Heritage Eggs that is served with a choice of bacon, sausage or ham, gravlax, or even a 12 oz. prime NY strip steak along with a Zucchini Pancake made with greek garlic yogurt and fresh herbs. Another egg highlight was the Poached Eggs with Garlic Yogurt made with burnt butter aleppo and baguette soldiers. Finally, we had the Hobo Sandwich, a sweet and savory take on an egg-sandwich made with fried eggs, sausage, bacon, cheese, and maple syrup on house-made english muffin.
We washed back all that egg-goodness with a few of the brunch cocktails including the Breakfast Martini with Gem+Bolt Mezcal, Combier, Yuzu, Orange Marmalade, and Lemon along with the an updated take on the Salty Dog made with Wheatley Vodka, Fluffy Grapefruit Juice, Mancino Bianco Vermouth, and Salt.

An all-day American eatery, Gregory’s is as delicious as it is an elegant, gathering spot at the Vagabond hotel. The ambiance is casual, yet chic.

If I could give more stars I would! Gorgeous gem with delicious food (perfect portions btw), lovely ambience and wonderful servers both friendly and efficient. Manager was lovely and swung by to check on us and I will definitely return many times. We had brunch but am excited to try their lunch and dinner options. 10/10 and delighted to have this so close to me!

This place is hard to review knowing it comes from Mandolin. We had like 4 different servers, which was confusing. No one introduced themselves with their name, which to me is important. We ordered lumpias and zucchini pancakes, which were very tasty to begin with. Nevertheless, the entrees felt short for us. The braised pork dish was fine, not great. It felt too heavy and something felt lacking. My husband ordered the chicken Milanese and it was bland, very forgettable. The place is carefully and beautifully put together. I ordered the Oaxacan Daisy cocktail and it was great, though. I would probably go back for cocktails and appetizers.

Gregory’s Diner is a terrific new eatery in Miami’s Upper Eastside. Residing in the Vagabond Hotel, this is a welcome and befitting addition to both the neighborhood and the MiMo District’s most iconic building. I had the pleasure of enjoying an early dinner there this evening during its soft opening where neighbors were invited to dine at a 50% discount for the week. Nice! Gregory’s is a gem – the space is so well appointed it’s a joy to step inside. Splashes of color highlight its clean, classic, white interior with a modern, Miami refresh. Billed as a diner, Gregory’s serves American fare that harks back to the glory days of ‘50s diners but its menu is updated and broadened to satisfy the tastes and expectations of today’s diners. We ordered the ratatouille which comprised of sweet pepper and tomatoes stuffed with grain and vegetables as well as the steak with mashed potatoes and glazed carrots. The ratatouille was delicious – I finished every bite! I also sampled the potatoes and carrots and they were perfection. Though I didn’t eat the steak, I was informed that it was fabulous. Bread from the Sullivan Street Bakery was brought to the table as soon as we sat down and served with soft butter – yum! We didn’t have room for dessert but I did inquire and they have a lovely selection – next time I’ll be back for the blueberry pie. Currently, just lunch and dinner is served but they expect to open for breakfast in the near future which is ideal. The staff were attentive and the service was excellent. We had a lovely time at Gregory’s Diner and expect to go back. Gregory’s offers valet parking but ample parking is available on the surrounding streets. Gregory’s Diner has elevated the already marvelous MiMo District’s restaurant scene yet another notch!

FABULOUS experience. Upscale ‘diner’ food — complete with matzo ball soup, homemade cream soda, tuna melts, piled high fries, and even gazpacho. The cheese cart was an adorable touch. The grass-fed steak was perfectly sauce. High marks for the snow crab cobb salad with clearly local ingredients. Service was attentive and so warm and personal. Cocktails were zesty and diverse. Can’t wait to be back!

Amazing attention and customer service, I felt very pleased since the very first moment I walked into the restaurant, I was in the area actually planning to eat somewhere else and once I walked in, I changed my mind, the menu is very explicit and minimalist, with enough options to make it easy to choose a plate or taste different cuisine options, definitely better than the old Vagabond Restaurant that was there in the past! Will definitely come back!

Quality is just not present; crab cake was very breaded and overcooked, size of a biscuit, we sent it back. The fettuccine wasn’t bad but only 6 small clams? And the clam chowder had 3 clams with broth, carrots and potatoes, more like a chicken soup. Grilled cheese sandwich also overcooked, no melted cheese! Best part of lunch was the pinot group and prosecco. The staff was friendly but even the offer of complimentary dessert, which we refused, was too little too late.
