In my opinion, Best bagels around. these are the real deal, New York bagels.
Everything about this deli is vintage. It has its own charm. It’s like you stepped back in time. Nothing fancy here. A variety of deli sandwiches, from Lox and cream cheese on a bagel, corned beef, pastrami, tuna salad on a bagel, my favorite, and the best cream cheese or do you call it smear.
They open at 6:00 am and close at 3 PM. I swear their bagels are always warm.
Super nice people behind the counter.
You cannot compare these bagels to any of these bagel chains.

Greenwood Deli is right across from my workplace at Lutheran, and I can’t believe I hadn’t tried it sooner! I usually grab breakfast from McDonald’s, but today I decided to check this place out after a colleague mentioned how amazing their sandwiches are.
I ordered the corned beef and pastrami sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. My husband, who’s usually very picky about food, loved it so much that he didn’t have a single complaint (which says a lot!). He even said he wants his family to try this place next time. Very friendly staff.
Definitely my new go-to spot for sandwiches between 6 to 15ish highly recommend Greenwood Deli! ✨

Best bagels in the suburbs of Chicago! All the bagels are made fresh daily, and you can tell the difference. My favorite bagels are everything: garlic, jalapeño and onion! They also have a variety of cream cheese flavors, and my favorite is the jalapeño and onion and chive! The staff is super friendly, and this place is pretty clean! I recommend coming early in the morning because they run out of bagels quickly! Usually, there’s a line in the morning, but it moves fast!

Has some guest from out of town and we picked up a few sandwiches for late breakfast early lunch. We were all super satisfied. We shred three sandwiches and my favorite was the corned beef. The Liz were super fresh. Three different bagels types all delicious. For sure a must try.

I’ve been buying New York bagels, bialys, and handmade cream cheeses for decades. So, my wife and I decided to try their (Greenwood Deli) sandwiches for lunch; one pastrami on rye and one extra lean corned beef on rye. The pastrami contained so much fat that it was quite unpleasant in one’s mouth and the corned beef was chewy with strings of sinew and inedible bits of hard material. 75% of what we purchased ended up in the trash. Basically, we threw away the equivalent of $21. Such a shame. We really wanted to like these sandwiches so that we would have somewhere else to buy an occasional lunch. We’ll still buy their bagels and bialys, but we will never buy their sandwiches again.

What a lovely and unassuming bagel shop Greenwood Deli is. When I walked in, a batch of fresh raspberry bagels just came out of the oven and I could hear the crisp sound of bagels touching each other. If you like to eat hot bagels, this is the place to be in the morning hours. Friendly workers were a plus. Will try their bagel sandwiches next time!
