I moved away 13 years ago and whenever I come back I head straight here for a breakfast sandwich. Nice folks. Good food. Reasonable prices. I also appreciate that they have cholula as their hot sauce. Everything is always wonderful and fresh. Bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich is always perfect.

Ordered two egg sandwiches through door dash. I will preface this by saying I know about fees and tip, I know I will be gouged in the end, but….
Ended up being up over $40 dollars for 2 BEC’S and 2 large 1/2 and 1/2’s. Whaaaaat? I had 2 strips of bacon on my sammy and my daughter wouldn’t eat hers because the bacon was very undercooked (ie: not crispy).
I don’t drive, but this was her choice. Little background.
I grew up in Greenlawn and have always given them our business. Always. My mother wouldn’t allow it. Even when we moved to HTon, it was there or nothing. She loved Kyle, and the soups, the whole German family thing. Take home meals for when I was working. She felt at home when she walked in. This place has changed so much. The prices are outrageous. Food quality is awful. I absolutely hate saying this. I grew up IN this deli, drank their coffee at 10 years old, best penn Dutch potato salad on EARTH.
What happened? So disappointed. I haven’t enjoyed any meal there in so long. I won’t be returning.

This is my favorite deli on LI! The potato salad is the best I have ever eaten! The chicken salad is absolutely delicious too! The owners and employees are so friendly. Everyone works very hard to make this an award winning deli! I also love that this is a family owned business. I always look forward to coming into Greenway Deli. 🙂

My wife went down to grab us some breakfast. Said the workers were really nice and all 3 said hi when she walked in and asked her how her day was. Wasn’t like all the other places where they’re trying to rush you in and out. Food was great. I enjoyed my egg sandwich and she enjoyed her egg salad sandwich. If we went across the street to subway I’d easily be out almost double and for wayyyy worse food. We’ll be back for sure; customer service isn’t lost on these folks.

I have been going to this deli for as long as I’ve lived here (over 45 years)! The food is wonderful. However, I’ve noticed of late that the staff doesn’t change gloves between customers. They take the next order and handle food (with those gloves) after handling money and other things on the counter. Please change gloves between each order!

I gave this place 3 chances now, and all 3 times been a disaster-today being the last day. I understand Inflation, I understand they have to make a living, so prices need to be raised. I have been coming here for years. I loved their Shrimp Salad-not sure that it is worth $20 a pound but, that’s mine opinion. Today, when ordering a Pastrami Ruben-not corn beef, I also asked for Cole slaw instead of sauerkraut, and Russian dressing. Didn’t notice until I got home sandwich was not complete. FYI- Ruben Sandwiches include swiss cheese-mine had none. There still is (not many) some better Deli’s- go to Cold Spring Harbor for one…
