On Saturday, May 9th, we hosted a Staff Appreciation Dinner at Greenside Steakhouse for Windermere Newport/Seal Rock offices. We were impressed by the caring staff and the added touches such as a special menu printed just for our group. The food was excellent. Chef Munk did a wonderful job preparing our dinner. Favorites were artichoke dip appetizer, crisp salad and creamy clam chowder, rib eye, salmon en papillote, crunchy asparagus and crème brulee (these are just a few highlights from our special menu). Dinner was rounded out by great wine and a selection of beer & ale. We heartily recommend Greenside Steakhouse – great food, friendly service and a view of the golf course!

Had dinner with neighbors on 7/18/2015. Have to say it was not a good experience. We ordered the rib eye with the compound butter. Their “special” brussel sprouts were un-edible, very hard and under cooked. Our steak was very fatty, the salad was minimal, no bread was offered, the service was poor, and the server on the rude side. She got our steaks mixed up and got huffy when we asked for more sour cream (she forgot to bring one out) and wanted to take our drink glasses before we were done with them. Our neighbors didn’t even finish their dinner, we felt like we were being rushed out. Trying to be fair, the appetizers we ordered were good; the fried avocado and the bacon wrapped scallop’s. This is my first ever restaurant review and I am usually mild mannered and forgiving, but the money we spent on this meal and the service was not worth it. Not sure if we’ll be back. Too bad, Waldport really needs a good little dinner spot.
