I do think that a small side salad and slice of bread with the dinners especially pasta ones would be a game changer. When you’re paying over $30 for a meal I would think it would come with at least bread.
We always recommend to our friends and/or people who are visiting our city.
I had the ribeye steak — juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The halibut was decent, but the coconut shrimp with their house sauce was absolutely amazing. Drinks were on point all night. We finished with the caramel cake, and wow… the perfect way to end the evening.
Be sure to ask for Bobbie — she knows the menu well and gave us excellent recommendations!
I had the halibut, and it was fantastic. My husband really enjoyed the steak pasta. A friend had the chicken parm, he really liked it, it was his 2nd time ordering it. Another friend had the seafood scampi, very generous portions, he liked it.
We had the brownie dessert, so warm and gooey
100/100 recommend!!!
Oh, and the service is incredible.

Below is the original review.
Not chomping at the bit to go back…. All foods should not be fried in the same oil; fish, fries and chicken. Sautéed shrimp in butter garlic sauce should not taste like butter. Drink refills took going to the bar to ASK for another…The person who sat us was NOT our waiter. Nor did the waiter who really is the GM of the place…ever come back after our initial order was taken. Parking is tight and not in a good way. Seems over priced for what we got. However, gotta pay for a new building and sucker the tourists like everything in the summer in ALASKA.
First, the good. I ordered the tri-colored tortellini with steak, my boyfriend ordered the steak gorgonzola pappardelle and my dad ordered a peppercorn New York strip (not pictured). The dishes were great and came out piping hot. The sauces were also creamy and delicious. We also ordered two asparagus cream soups to share which was wonderful as well. The ambience of the restaurant was nice too. Probably one of, if not the nicest place ambience-wise in Fairbanks.
Now for the bad. We walked in without reservations on 6/10/25. We were taken to our table almost immediately after arriving, which I have no complaints about. However, the bad part came as we were sitting at our table. The hostess/waitress told us something along the lines of “it’s not like you’re going to come back here again or anything but next time think about making a reservation.” It felt extremely inhospitable to our party and we were shocked. We are Fairbanks locals but I’m not sure if we “appeared” to be tourists, but when we both arrived and left the restaurant was not packed. I understand that restaurants have a reservation system, but if the restaurant was full, we could’ve just been told that? But we were seated with no problem so I’m not sure what the purpose of that remark was. It was my first time at the restaurant after looking forward to dining at Greens for several years, but I was pretty disappointed by that comment.
Finally, one poor point about the food was that everyone in our party ordered a medium-rare steak. Everything came out medium-well to well done. The steaks weren’t tough to eat, but if you’re particular about how cooked a steak is, then it might be something to consider as well, given that our three plates and two soups came out to over $130 without tips.
