Green leaf is a place you get excited about the minute you walk in the door and see the big chalk board with some of their featured items. On this day, I saw the salmon chowder and I could barely focus on any other items on the board. OK, cheesecake caught a glance, but I was chowder focused even after we were seated. My husband and I visit our grown daughter in Ashland annually and she always insists on Greenleaf. Today, she and I shared the short rib French dip sandwich, as well as an order of upgraded Gorgonzola cheese fries loaded with green onions. I also got my dream item of a cup of salmon chowder. My husband stuck with a bowl of clam chowder. Both chowders came with delicious crusty toasted bread. My daughter and I also got a pint of blood orange mimosas. I know why the short rib French dip is my favorite. The bread was so soft and pillowy and absolutely slugged up the au jus. The melty cheese had a fantastic pull and for a moment, I totally forgot about the chowder. It was THAT wonderful. After polishing off my half sandwich and a few of my fries (also delicious BTW), I realized I still had a generous cup of chowder and it most definitely didn’t disappoint. My husband loved his clam chowder and to serve the bread with the soup was a fantastic choice. I was unable to eat all of the soup after polishing off the sandwich, so my husband came to the rescue. Our service was over the top wonderful, and the whole vibe of Greenleaf is top notch. When we return to visit next year, you can bet your tushy we will be returning to Greenleaf.

Came in with a friend for breakfast. I had the waffle with a side of bacon & fruit as well.

My waffle was perfect! My bacon was even better

This was all washed down with a blood oregon mimosa.

Great customer service, fantastic food & fairly priced.

I had the chili cheeseburger. It was very tasty and a good portion. It did have a few large pieces of gristle and one bone in the Angus. Maybe should check with your butcher.
The staff was awesome. Great GF options.

I was craving eggs Benedict (which was random for me) so I sought out a spot that had it. Not only did they have several Benedict options, they customized my order to be exactly what I wanted.
The portion was generous, the vegetables were fresh and delicious, the eggs were perfectly cooked, the ham was noticeably high quality, and the hollandaise sauce was plate licking good. On top of that, the potatoes were delicious and crispy on the outside yum.
The service was attentive and casual, and I sat by the creek out back for ambiance. I would absolutely recommend Greenleaf.

We have eaten here quite a few times coming up from Carmel CA. It was always quite good but this time, it was absolutely appalling. We order a large salad and the Salmon dinner. We asked the waiter to bring the salad first and after we were done with the salad, to serve the Salmon dinner. The manager (lots of tattoos) brought out the Salmon, and I asked him where is the salad? He took away the salmon, but then I asked him to bring it back since I knew the cook would ended up warming it up and it would come out dry and overheated! The waiter brought out the large salad as we were almost done eating the Salmon, but the lettuce tasted really bitter. The waiter then mentioned that the cooks can’t read English well! WTH! It was a fairly large salad so I asked for extra salad dressing! When I got the bill, I was charged $.75 twice for the extra salad dressing. It’s not about the money, it’s the principle! I questioned the manager and he said we always charge for extra dressing because it’s homemade. I mentioned to him, that I have eaten here a dozen times and never once I was charged for extra dressing. Then blurted out loud in front of other customers, the waiters are obviously not doing their job! I said to him, I have eaten at so many restaurants, traveled around the world and this is the only place that did this. Then manager rudely said, I have been to other restaurants and they do charge extra for salad dressing. What a joke! Never am I going to this establishment and the manager and waiter are both unprofessional, unkept in their appearances! And don’t have a clue how to treat their customers and talking badly about the other wait staff and cooks! Will let all my friends in Ashland and Medford about the appalling food and service!

Staff assumed that I was a delivery/door dash person when I came back in to join my table. Not a good experience to be profiled as one of the few POC customers present when I was there to enjoy a meal and patronize a small business. Would encourage retraining staff in this regard.

Wonderful service. Exceptionally clean. But let’s talk about the food! Marionberry pancakes that I will crave for months. Sadly, we are visiting Ashland and there were 17 things on the menu that I wanted. We loved the brick wall vibe inside but are looking forward to coming back to sit outside too!

The food was fantastic. I will be back to have the forest floor polenta bowl again. Try the marionberry compote. Everything we had was delightful. Our server was great. This is definitely a place to take your time and linger over great food.
