I’m newer to Greenville so I didn’t realize that Greenfield’s Bagels ‘ Deli-Midtown was a local treasure. I was getting my car serviced across the street & stopped by for a sandwich. The line to order was almost out the door. Since the line was so long, I just ordered online while I was waiting in line & then it only took 10-15 minutes to get my food. You can skip the line if you order ahead. They have a sign up that shows you get $1.00 off your first on-line order which I noticed after I left. It was obvious that all their bread, bagels and sides are freshly made. I ordered a turkey pastrami sandwich with a side of potato salad for $10.35. The bread was exceptional, but the Turkey was dry. Apparently I should have ordered one of their signature bagels instead because they looked much better. It was a cute little restaurant with seating both inside and outside.

I came into The Bagel Spot with a serious craving for a classic New York-style bagel, and let me tell you, it was a major success. This is easily the best bagel in town, hands down.
I ordered the Nova Bagel and it was flawlessly executed. The bagel itself had that perfect balance of a crispy exterior and a soft, chewy inside. It was piled high with a generous smear of creamy, fresh cream cheese, layers of succulent nova lox, crisp tomatoes, sharp sliced onions, and a perfect sprinkle of briny capers. Every bite was balanced and bursting with flavor.
If you’re looking to demolish a craving—this is the place to do it. The quality and freshness are exceptional. I will absolutely be back for another one soon!

Listen, I’m from NJ and I having been searching for a proper, good bagel for the last 1.5 years. THIS is the place! I got an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and it was PERFECTION. And yes, I’ve tried Jersey Bagel Bros and despite the name, those aren’t my kind of Jersey bagels… I’ll be coming back to Greenfield’s on the reg.

Amazing bagels, I ordered tomato soup, grilled cheese on a cheese bagel. Yummy! The bagels are “northerner certified”….. fresh like you get in the North. I loved the bagels freshness and taste. Look forward to going back to order a dozen. This was my first visit, as I sat and ate, customers came in and ordered bagels by the dozen. The popular flavor seem to be the double crunch. I must try it next time. Great customer service as well, the cashier recommended for me to get a grilled cheese on the bagel. That made my visit VERY enjoyable. To top it off the deli sells birch beer, a true northerners delight. Thanks so much! See ya next time!

So I got a breakfast bagel and cup of coffee. The bagel was good but a little smaller than what I’m used to. My biggest issue was the request for a tip. You stand in line to order then 50% of people have to pick up their food from the counter, you fill up your own drinks and buss your own table. I don’t think that calls for a tip. No offense to the staff working. They were all super kind and worked hard. I would probably go back but would have liked to know they don’t really offer service before tipping.

I have been a regular customer here for over five years, and order the same bagel most times (pastrami egg and cheese, veggie cc on the side), and almost every single time I have gone for the last six months my order has been messed up. Usually the pastrami and egg is left off, but sometimes I am missing the cream cheese entirely (which yk makes the bagel). I usually catch it but sometimes don’t and I just don’t want to have to check my food Every Single Time i get it and then stand and wait extra. Last time they had to remake it twice, and I feel it’s a simple order. I have had friends ask why I still go because this happens so often, but the bagels are truly delicious. I have once or twice gotten a dud but I can count on you guys for taste once you get it right.

So they correctly name the Lox Bagel a Nova Bagel. As such, whenever you order a Lox, everyone gets confused, order the Nova instead. Their bagels are well-crafted with the right amount of chew. It comes with a great portion of smoked salmon and everything is well seasoned. The biggest gripe is that the bagel doesn’t actually hold together very well. Things constantly fall out as you’re eating it and it’s kind of messy. I think if they wrapped it up for you, it would be a much more enjoyable experience.
