My friends and I stopped here after going swimming; we were hungry when we walked in, and Ruby (the owner) made sure we didn’t leave that way.
Her suggestions were wonderful and her company delightful. She even sent us home with a container of beer cheese! She earned her 5/5 stars.
My only suggestion would be to have more veggie options. I really wish I could have ordered a tomato slice and lettuce leaf on my burger. *I didn’t see it on the menu and I didn’t think of asking when I ordered

Ruby was delightful and the food was delicious. We enjoyed the home-cooked meals and the warm hospitality. As a bunch of non-locals looking for an authentic Kentucky meal to finish off our vacation, we found it at Greene’s. Thank you Ruby! We all made it home safe!

Greene’s is nestled off US-60, and living up to its name, is a cozy cafe next to the creek. While the building isn’t huge, it does offer pick up options through an external window as well as plenty of space inside to eat and a small diner style bar top near the front.
The owners, Ruby and Rob, made my visit feel like a visit home. Diners across the café were happily chatting with each other and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
The Food: I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger with a side of fries. $14. A burger is usually my go to when trying out a new place to gauge the offerings because if you mess up a burger then there are some issues. Thankfully the burger here was fantastic and the portion sizes were extremely generous. The fries were cooked well with a good fry seasoning on them.
All in all, a great diner to visit and I will be back for more!

Greene’s Creekside Cafe is delicious and reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly and the cafe was very clean. You definitely get the old timey country feel when you walk in. Highly recommended!

We’re from Dayton, OH and we got lost on our way to the Red River Gorge and drove past this wonderful place late at night. The owner made us some of the best cole slaw that I’ve ever eaten.

We were passing through salt lick, hungry after a job so we stopped by Greene’s Creekside Cafe for the first time and met the owners. Food was hearty and savory, I had the pork loin for dinner and the ultimate burger to go. Definitely coming back just for them. Thank you for your hospitality Ruby, Rob & Brooklyn!

It was absolutely to die for! The food is prepared with a lot of experience and care. It is like eating at Grandmas on Sunday after church. You often hear “home cooked”, but soon realize it was heated up in an oven or microwave, that is not the case at Greene’s Cafe’. This was our first time here, but will be a regular of ours. Service was great! Food was great! Meatloaf, real mashed taters and gravy, country green beans, homemade coleslaw.

Our first time dining at Greens, but it definitely won’t be our last! Everything was delicious, and I mean EVERYTHING! What we didn’t order, the owner gave us samples of the rest, AND sent us home with the last of the peach cobbler! Lol Wonderful hospitality and service! Ruby made us feel like family. Well worth our trip from Mt. Sterling!

Great place to eat, hard to find a large Hans made grilled hamburger and they have the best! Great food, great service and great atmosphere. Situated right on the creek with outdoor dining. We will be going back, so much to choose from on the menu.
