Welcome to Green Point, a deep dive into the coastal culture of Cape Town. Green Point is a continuation of its love letter to the South African sea city. Open daily for lunch and dinner as well as weekend brunch, Green Point is named after the beachside neighborhood that the Katz’s brothers’ grandparents, Rhoda and Oscar, lived in. The brother’s version of a modern seafood brasserie is chic but unfussy. Smart, but with good humor. Green Point is a celebration of hospitality, a spirited space that hums with busyness but encourages guests to sit unhurried and enjoy the atmosphere. Highlights include a raw bar serving shellfish, crudos, tartares, ceviches, and a rotation of cocktail oysters sourced from the East Coast and the Gulf.

Great seafood joint. Friendly service and excellent menu. Always busy. Quiet, even with a full house. Tables/booths are well placed so you don’t feel like you’re sitting in top of other parties. Fairly expensive, but outstanding quality – fresh & flavorful . Good selection of appetizers, entrees and drinks. Bar area is a great compliment to the restaurant.

Visited to celebrate a friend’s birthday and had a nice time overall. The place was busy, so the wait was longer than expected. We ordered several dishes to share — some were great, while others were hit or miss. The atmosphere was cozy with Christmas decorations. Parking was a bit difficult to find.

Beautiful spot with lively but not roaring atmosphere. Started the a nicely crafted g&t and crab artichoke dip. The dip was cheesey gooey goodness and cocktail crisp. The lobster roll and fries were my main meal and didn’t quite hit my expectations. Everything else was lovely and staff attentive. Would definitely return to try more of the menu.

Exceptional dining experience at Green Point Seafood! Great seafood menu selections that feel like a coastal restaurant. The decor is “upscale diner” and reservations are a must for Sat night. You can’t go wrong with any menu choices but we especially enjoyed the tuna tartare appetizer & whipped burrata. We will definitely return for future visits!

This place has great vibes and customer service, but the food was a little disappointing.
The oysters on the half shell were great, full of flavor. The seafood gumbo was a little off however. The soup wasn’t very thick and flavors weren’t as pronounced as something like a New Orleans gumbo. The lobster roll was good but the included fried tasted a little off as well.
They have a great bar and good selection of cocktails/wines, so great place to grab a drink and hang out.

Came here with my book club. We were a party of 7 and dined family style. We were at circle booth which made it really easy to share. Daniel was our server. He was great and made good selections. 5 of us shared a couple bottles of wine. I was quite pleased with the selection—felt like any budget and palette could be satisfied. We had a lot of items since there were 7 of us and we dined family style: hamachi, crab dip, mussels, the Perla platter, oysters, fried lobster, lobster roll, and tuna tartare. We seriously ate every last bite. Everything was so so good. For dessert , we shared banana pudding and the lemon bar (which was like a lemon version of key lime pie). Yummy.
This was my third time eating here, and I’ve been happy every single time. One of my fave restaurants.

After several visits this will be our last. The calamari was extremely chewy and was not able to hold the breading. I felt like the food wasn’t what it once was but the service was the worst it’s ever been. Our server was Bryan and he avoided our table like the plague. We went on a Saturday at 4:45 so the restaurant was not busy enough to justify for the horrible service.

Greenpoint is usually amazing. Fantastic staff, beautiful restaurant, great seafood, and I love a place that has a cute lil matchbook. Last night we went for my husband’s birthday dinner and I ordered the seafood salad. For $25 this was a very sad salad…said it had heirloom tomatoes on it, but I’m pretty sure they were just halved cherry tomatoes/barely any tomatoes. I asked our server if that’s what it normally looks like and he said yes, I stopped eating it bc it was so disappointing. The server was kind and took it off the bill. The fries, oysters, Mac/cheese, gumbo were all amazing.
You can go to Hudson House and get a much better/larger/colorful salad for the same price or less. Next time I will not be ordering the salad.
There was also a screaming infant a few tables away that was there for almost an hour. I know that is outside the restaurants control, but this is not the place to bring a small baby/toddler/young children.

Ambiance: 5/5
The restaurant’s interior is described as charming, cozy, and inviting with thoughtful decor featuring wood and mirrors.
Service: 5/5
Excellent service was noted, enhancing the dining experience.
Food Quality: 3.5/5
• Seafood Gumbo: Excellent, with lots of meat and great flavor.
• Little Fish Sandwiches: Just okay.
• Mexican Seafood Cocktail: Lacking flavor.
• Fish and Chips: Generous portion and tasty with a light batter.
• Blackened Shrimp and Grits: Bland, dominated by bacon flavor.
Overall Rating: 4/5
The restaurant delivers on ambiance, service, and some standout dishes like the seafood gumbo and fish and chips, but there’s room for improvement in seasoning and balance for other dishes.

Always a fantastic meal. Avery(ask for her!), Eric, and the entire service team go out of their way to make it an incredible time. Even the owners will stop by and check in. Fantastic atmosphere, incredibly seafood, and easily has a top 3 burger in Dallas !
