Food was good and authentic. Mannish water was good but a little peppery. The ladies that work there are very nice and respectful.

Im a mail man. So Green Island was on my route today. Smells amazing when you walk in. You get greeted by the two sweetest ladies on the planet. They let me try a spicy beef patty.
Very satisfied. They were so friendly and welcoming. Please come through. Support them. Try their amazing Jamaican foodm small little hole in the wall, but for a town with not enough Jamaican food. They are amazing and top of game

Went to green island for the second time today and it didn’t disappoint. I had oxtail and rice and beans along with a beef patty. The lady there even gave me some banana bread to take with me and it was some of the best I’ve ever had. The staff were all very kind and showed gratitude for my visit. I definitely plan on visiting the restaurant again in the near future. 10/10 food, great service, and environment.

Was looking for something different for dinner and decided to give Green Island a try and we were not disappointed. The food was was delicious. We stopped in and ordered takeout and they were very prompt. They did have a few tables to eat there but we found it to warm, but had already planned to take home to eat.

Green Island is a wonderful authentic Jamaican restaurant in Danbury. Came in today for lunch and had the Jerk Chicken Wrap with a side of fries which was absolutely delicious! This was my first visit in over 10 years and it was great to be back and see all the renovations and changes that have taken place since. Used to come often as a college student and in fact the first time I went was the first time I ever tried Jamaican food. I remember how delicious everything always was. They have a wide variety of options on their menu. When it comes to Jamaican cuisine in Danbury and the surrounding area, I highly recommend checking out Green Island! It won’t disappoint!!

Not what I expected from a jamaican restaurant. Nothing beats New York style Jamaica restaurants they put flavor and spice in their food. I paid almost 20dollars for a patty a piece of Easter cheese and banana chips. I will make sure I get my food from New York next time.
