Really authentic hand pulled Chinese noodle restaurant. Very reasonably priced with generous portion. I got the four in one that has four kinds of toppings. You can also choose your own protein which i chose braised pork. I also upgraded with one extra dollar to update into knife cut noodles which is totally worth it. It tasted with more texture. Also got an order of sweet rice cake with red date sauce. However the service is really chaotic. They sent my order of dessert to another table and I had to remind them to give me another serving. The boy server seemed really lost. I had to tell him what I ordered again to get my noodle dish. There’s a discount if you pay with cash.

Been thinking about my bowl for days… large portion size and the beef was super tender. The spicy bowl was the right about of spicy and was offset nicely by scallion and cabbage. Definitely coming back.

My husband went to PSU for a work trip and I found this place on the maps. ( I lived in Xi’an for 5 years and I love Shannxi food. )My husband went here, ordered food for me, and asked if they could pack the soup and noodles separately, the bun and the meat separately, because he had to drive 7 hours to bring it home to me.
The owner’s service was above and beyond, he packed everything perfectly and everything tasted great when they got here, he even gave instructions on how to heat them up too. The portion was big, the flavor was authentic and great, and mostly it brought back memories from my college years. And so much meat for each肉夹馍 we got
Will definitely go there next time in person if possible. Great place!

The noodles is handmade everyday and in the best of conditions, every time I enter I just had to grab a bite. What I love favorite is the beef over rice. But also their rice noodles!! Recommend!

It’s worth it if everything were $5 cheaper. It’s a good option if you’re craving a heavier beef noodle bowl. The Chinese chili sauce is unique, and the noodles are chewy with a variety of meat options. However, I find the pricing a bit unreasonable, especially since most people can’t finish the entire bowl.

So good! The place is authentic, down to earth and to the point. From your seat you can see the huge pots cooking and hear the kitchen hard at work. The menu is wide and the options are many. I went with the black bean pork noodles and it was delicious. The noodles were wide, fresh and bouncy, the sauce was flavorful and the dish size was just right. Very affordable as well!

If you want some incredible Chinese noodle soups GO HERE. The Hot and Spicy Beef noodle soup with the sweet potato noodles was the best noodle soup I have had in years— perfectly stretchy noodles, tender beef, incredible layers of flavor and oil, and SPIIICY. If you like spice GET THIS SOUP. The waiter even warned me, but I knew what I was in for and it delivered. The Chinese hamburger was good— better after I added more black vinegar and spice paste. But the soup was the star of the show. A very simple and clean ambience, nothing fancy and no liquor or beer, but a mix of families and college students were all there to share a hearty dinner. Waitstaff was very attentive. I’m sad I didn’t get a chance to get this soup again during my recent visit, but will be rearing to go the next time I visit state college.

My partner and I come here regularly as she is a student at Penn State and I work in the area. This is the best-quality food we have found in State College. Noodles are made in-house. Staff is welcoming every time we go in. I always leave feeling full. Great place to eat and good value for what we’re paying.

Today I decided to eat here. The service was pleasant, which I loved. This was what I ordered. The broth was hot and had a super rich and balanced flavor. The meat was super tender and delicious. I loved it because I saw it on their menu. I ordered it with lots of green onions. Too delicious. I definitely want to go back. The place is quiet and perfect.

I wanted to post this review because so many others have said such negative things. First off, this place is so good! I have been here two times and the soup is amazing! The menu has changed from what it used to be so it is NO longer all you can eat buffet noodles. But, this place is worth a visit for sure! It is small, but very authentic Chinese noodles for a decent price. The chili oil is also fantastic and I highly recommend you add it to your food. I ordered the Pork with rice noodles soup, and let me tell you the portion size is so big! It can easily be shared by two people. I would say that their soup is better tasting and priced than Tadashi ramen downtown. Also, the servers are very polite and attentive. Note- there is a small fee for using credit cards about 3.4%.
