Dino and team do a great job offering a variety of choices, frequently changing their special’s menu and adding new and interesting choices such as prime rib dinner on Thursdays. In addition to traditional Greek dishes such as octopus and spanakopita (which are absolutely fantastic, as are all of the meze items we’ve tried), they offer more traditional dishes with a Greek twist. Each time we dine at Greca’s, it is a wonderful experience, great service and a welcoming atmosphere in addition to really amazing food!
Dino is the quintessential host: friendly and accommodating and he thoughtfully puts the menu together, buys the best ingredients (many from Greece, no less) and shares the history and culture of Greece, and amazing food with anyone who walks in. You are treated well and leaves happy. We’re glad he’s in our town!
Meanwhile we still had empty glasses and dishes on our table. Other waitstaff passed our table numerous times, you would think it would just be a courtesy to grab empty dishes and glasses as you’re walking by, ask if you need anything…. most restaurants it is, here, not so much.
When it was brought to the owners attention that the service was below standards he was completely dismissive. At least an apology??? Nope!
You’d expect the person running the place would lend a hand when needed to kept the customers happy and wanting to come again….but apparently not here, instead he let the customers leave disappointed which is a guarantee we wont be going back. Such a shame because the food wasn’t bad.
I’m leaving him a tip here in the pics, hope he reads it, learns from it retrains his staff….
Oh, and just a heads up….if they put a bottle of sparkling water on your table that you didn’t ask for, they will charge you eight dollars for that…
You have to get over the fact that it’s in the back corner of a Big Y parking lot and overshadowed by neon lights from the liquor store and vape shop next door, but we’ll worth it.
We ordered: OCHTAPODI (octopus), POLENTA BITES, SHRIMP SAGANAKI.
Drinks : Greca mule and kiss the fig are delicious !!!!!
Desert: baklava & Afogado and the roots rakomelo was great!!!
First and foremost, we were made to feel welcome the minute we walked in the door. Our server, Stella, was friendly, attentive and competent. The manager, Nikos, came to our table to welcome us and to briefly chat with us.
We ordered the hummus with pita as an appetizer not knowing they were going to give us some kind of deliciously seasoned bread served with a kalamata olive tapenade on the side. Both the tapenade and the bread had an exquisite olive oil taste. When I say exquisite, I really means exquisite!
For a main course, I ordered the moussaka and my husband ordered the lamb chops. We were not disappointed. Everything was perfectly seasoned and flavorful.
For dessert, I ordered ekmek kataifi and my husband ordered baklava. They were both good.
There are many items on the appetizer section of the menu, which appeal to me. Next time we go, and we are definitely planning to go soon, I will order several appetizers and no main course.
I look forward to our next visit.
