I grew up in Southfield, Michigan which outside of Chicago, San Francisco, and New York, has some of the best Chinese food in the country. Thus, I have high standards for Chinese food. We tried Great Wok for the first time today, and were very impressed with the food. The triple delight with ginger and garlic sauce was delicious. The vegetables were fresh; the meat was cooked perfectly; and it was not too salty. The shrimp curry fried Rice was a dish I have not seen anywhere else before and was also very enjoyable. The crab rangoons were quite good. Portion sizes are large Cindy, the owner, is a very nice person who treats customers like family. (We spoke for about 20 minutes last week to learn more about the restaurant). Finally, we are very glad that they’re able to prepare most dishes without MSG. All dishes with brown sauce can be easily made with no MSG, and the crab rangoons have no MSG. We look forward to returning soon. They are exclusively carry out, FYI.

The food here is AMAZING! The family is so friendly and very personable. I’ve been eating here for about a year and they are always happy to see me, and I them! They talk to all of their customers like old friends and I love that!

We eat here all the time because the take out is very convenient and the food is always prepared very quick and is so fresh! We used to eat here when they owned the old restaurant and were so glad they opened something new and separate. The vegetables are always still crisp and fresh and the family that owns this place are always so kind and remember us when we come in! The portions are very large as well. Definitely the best Chinese in Dundee.

We went to Great Wok and had ordered our favorites, the sesame chicken was so tastey and the egg rolls are my favorite and the veggies are all great too but if you want some thing with a little kick they have one dish really spicy! Hopefully you can make your way there soon, they do take out! They are really fast and ready to take your order smoothly. Also there is a nice looking pond

Needed a dinner stop on our way back home from northern Michigan. It was rated very high so we gave it a try. Portions were massive, flavors were excellent, and everything was cooked well. Only take out was available, but our food was done in a flash! Too bad this isn’t in our hometown.

Great People! Food was Great and just as ordered. We will be back every time we are in Dundee. Both ladies we talked with were great and friendly. We ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan and it wasn’t on the list of items available. Also ordered Szechuan Chicken she asked how spice I said Very Spicy (Hen la). This is first place that actually made it spicy in very many years. You could even see the peppers used. The Moo Goo Gai pan even had a garlic flavor even not overpowering. Would Highly Recommend. Wish we had a place like this at home. Lunch special orders and got Crab Rangoon. Can’t give them enough praise. They even offered us water since it was hot out and orders are only take out at the current time. Portion much bigger than pictured. Can’t wait to come back.

I want to love this place, but the quality of the meat is significantly below average for Chinese takeout. I just had beef lo mein tonight and couldn’t finish eating it because of the meat texture/ surprising crunches. My husband loves this place but I was a bit grossed out ☹️
