This was my go to for 15 years. First, Miss Lisa owned it and it was the best in S. Florida. Like NYC Chinese. Then new owners bought it. It went from 5-stars to 3.5 – 4 stars.
Now, it’s yet another owner since Nov. 2025. Same owner as Kingsburg on Military. That used to be great but since before Thanksgiving, it plummeted. I had no idea about the new ownership of Great Wok. Well guess what? Now it’s 1-Star at best. I’m down to only getting soup because I’m getting tons of dental work weekly.
The food is horrible. I tried twice. First off: it’s nothing like the prior two owners…not only the quality but the dishes themselves are totally different!! I suggest you ask them to tell you what vegetables and sauce the dish has because I am not kidding when I say: it’s not like Kingsburg and absolutely 100% different veggies and sauce flavor. Even the soup is tasteless. Crispy noodles…EXTRA CHARGE!

This was my go to place for more than 20 years but lately the food is terrible and the service even worse. Orders used to arrive super fresh and hot and in 20-25 minutes tops being I’m only a mile away. Lately waiting over an hour upwards to 2 hours and after being on hold 15 minutes being told would be quicker if I pick up. (After prepaying tip and delivery fee) Arrive and food ice cold on counter, thrown in a box leaking. The girl behind counter super rude. I expect better for being a long time regular customer spending on average $75.00 + for a couple of combo meals and appetizer.

Great Wok??? There is Nothing Great about this place. I’m new in town and I want to eat some good Chinese. Wow, was I wrong. This place is a shame. I ordered Szechuan chicken, sour soup, eggroll, and fried rice. There was more flavor in the napkins than in the food. The vegetables weren’t even cooked. I was eating raw vegetables. I don’t know what they think they’re serving but it’s undoubtedly not Chinese food, more like non-Chinese food, no flavor, no meat nothing. I just ate air. It spent $15 on the worst meal I’ve had in Boynton Beach.

I ordered the Szechuan Pork combination dinner. Nice portion with red and green peepers, celery, snow peas, and onions. Good flavors but not spicy.
Comes with fried rice , egg roll, and choice of soup.

I’m searching for great Chinese Food. I tried Great Wok. There are a few tables to eat but mostly for take out. Food was good but too much liquid. Pork Fried Rice was ok but very little to no pork. Soup was good, egg roll was good. I’m going to try every one to find something like NY.

It’s obvious this place has recently changed hands. We have ordered from this location for over a decade or more.
Its been a while decided to place my order online. Pay cash in the store. We tried to place our order several times, then realized. Their online ordering system requires you to leave a TIP to process your order. I just ordered soup rice. Its togo. What Tip??? I’m picking it up! So l put a penny tip on the order and go to pick it up
They conveniently added $1.28 on the order before l requested extra scallions in my soup. Having exact change for my online purchase I had no extra money with us. Explain the order in person all the time and never have this issue of extra charges.
The counter person got the manager. Who came out of the back in a rage. When packaging my order. Showing me how much scallion they put in the soup.
Having never seen any of the employees or manager before I’m assuming it’s all new staff.
I explained I’ve been coming for years and never had any up charge. I was willing to pay the difference on my next order since I had no extra money with me.
She made a comment in a foreign language. Waved her hands, place the food back in the bag. Then gestured and said go GO!
Food was ok but the experience, will keep me away for good.

Ordered at 6:44pm got here 7pm waited till 8pm for my order to be given to me after being told it would only take 25 mins. Won’t be ordering here again.

I have been ordering here for years. The manager is a nasty rude inconsiderate person who is rude to her employees. When I called 45 minutes before they closed to have food delivered after ordering from there for over ten years, they told me the delivery driver didn’t want to deliver because it was too late. Even though there’s a four dollar delivery charge and they still had 45 minutes before they closed. They have lost a customer for life and I would advise you to eat somewhere else if you have a choice. Just two days ago for my birthday. We ordered almost $160 of food which was 40 minutes late being prepared. This place has gone downhill and I will no longer be a customer. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Needed to kill time, ate in, treated me cordial enough, but once the food was ready, my server could care less for customer service while dining in: blame myself- wasn’t in a pointing out the obvious mood. Dined in, no plate.
Pork Fried rice had a hint of burnt, the shrimp & chicken was good (no complaints), egg roll extra cooked. Overall, fastfood experience, great for take out.

Yesterday, December 26, 2022, I ordered 10 orders fried shrimp balls, and 1 shrimp dumpling for kid. Picked up didn’t open and check, I assumed everything was okay. When I got home and opened 3 bags, there were only 8 orders of shrimp balls. I called back the restaurant informed the missing,
I was told come back to get the 2 missing, but when I was there for pick up the missing, the restaurant’s staff said I lied about missing 2 shrimp ball orders. I told her “keep those 2 orders”, and I walked out. I will never come back to this restaurant again. I will tell everyone I know about this incident.
