Traditional Mandarin & Szechuan cuisine in a casual setting available for dine-in or takeout.

I was in Monterey with family and started craving Chinese food, and so glad we found this spot! The food was so good we actually came back a second time during our trip. Staff were nice and friendly! We got beef fried rice, soft shell crab (our fave!), Mongolian beef, salt & pepper shrimp, steamed fish and chow mein! everything was delicious. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

**Unacceptable Dining Experience: Negligence and Disrespect**
We ordered three dishes for dine-in and one dish for take-out. The main dish did not include rice, requiring separate order of $2.50 per small bowl. We purchased three bowls of rice in total: two for dine-in and one for take-out.
Shockingly, one of the dishes was contaminated with a string—likely used for bundling noodles—which nearly choked my child. This is an unforgivable lapse in food safety.
When we complained to the owner, his response was appallingly rude. He shouted at us, yelling they were “not trying to kill us” or “rip us off.” Yet, they attempted to overcharge us for four bowls of rice instead of three. While they eventually wrote off the contaminated dish, the owner didn’t offer even a basic apology—a bare minimum expectation when a customer’s safety is jeopardized.
This establishment’s blatant negligence, dishonest billing, and complete lack of accountability are unacceptable. No patron should endure such recklessness and disrespect.

Enough food to have leftovers to take home for another dinner the next night. All the selections we made – Mongolian Beef, Chow Mein, Chicken Wings, Wonton Soup, and Crispy Shrimp were all delicious. Served family style. Awesome appetizers were included in the price.

Just had dinner here with the family for the first time in 10 years and it was great!! Very generous and great fresh flavor. I wish I would have been coming here the whole time. This will be my goto for Chinese food from now on.

Food was nice but portions small. Staff extremely rude.. bad attitude when I was ordering my food and when I picked up. I still tipped but they really need to work on the way they talk to people. Ordered one plate and it was $35. Was not enough food for it to be that much. The food still tasted fine though which is why I gave 2 stars. Would not recommend, you can find good Chinese food elsewhere with better service, portion, and price. Whoever the guy working there is needs better manners though.

A friend and I decided to go to the Great Wall as it was suggested by a local in the area. I must say I was very impressed with the quality and flavor of their food. Every dish was amazing. The menu has endless options to choose from. We ordered the spare ribs, Mongolian beef/steamed rice, fried rice, and chicken wings for dinner, crab wontons, egg rolls, shrimp and potstickers for appetizers. Omg everything was just so delicious. These people know what they are doing! If you’re looking for good mandarin cuisine in the area this will be your go-to!

Reasonably good Chinese neighborhood restaurant. Large menu, good variety, reasonable quick service, and good prices. Food was good but not outstanding. Well liked by locals, it has been in business forever in several different locations.

IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE! Wow, the food and the service was incredible. We had the ‘Great Wall Dinner’ which was only $22/per person and so much more food than you could ever imagine eating in one sitting. The hot and sour soup is some of the best on this planet. YUM! Our waiter, Hong was so sweet and attentive. They were constantly refilling our beverages (I drink a lot of water). If I could give more stars, I would. I will definitely be back!

We ate dinner here based on the recommendation of a friend. We were surprised and delighted at how good it was! Everyone loved their dish. Green Beans, yum. Fried eggplant, yum, veggie dumplings, yum. Someone in in our party liked the sweet and sour chicken and the wings. Ask for Jimmy, a very fun and kind server!

We used to order from Great Wall quite often, but last night’s meal was hard to eat! The pork was tough and chewy and the chicken was scary. They mixed the fried rice with the chicken broccoli and the juices ran together. We won’t be ordering there again anytime soon.
