I’m currently living in Morgantown West Virginia, but I’m an original Baltimorian. We have the best asian restaurants and the 2nd best for me is in Tioga Potter PA. But the Great Wall has a long way to go to catch up with them. Every dish that includes rice the rice is hard, over cooked and the shrimp toast was so black and tasteless, it was terrible. But it’s the only Chinese restaurant in downtown Morgantown. Do a better job

I normally do not write reviews but this time it’s important to share how terrible fried chicken orders we received from Great wall Chinese restaurant. I normally order curry chicken which is normally okay and enjoyed.

As you can see in the picture the chicken wings is dried, staled and taste rubbery. I spend $7.25 for something my daughter couldn’t eat but hat to be discarded. I am suggesting for the restaurant to be mindful of providing food like this…because the purpose of ordering food is to actually eat it not to discard.

Got food delivered so no idea about service and atmosphere. Cream cheese wontons were like rubber instead of crisp , egg drop soup was flavorless, sesame chicken had no sesame seeds but was fairly good and the best part of the meal. Chicken was a little dry and chewy. Their food just didn’t have a fresh taste to it. Seems like a fast food version of Chinese.

The food was so DELICIOUS!!!! We went in around 10 and they graciously made us fresh food that was still piping hot when we opened the containers when we got back home. I have been to only one other Chinese restaurant where the rice had bamboo shoots and this rice was worth the price! It was perfectly seasoned and the onions, eggs, and bamboo shoots were all correctly cooked adding to the mirage of flavors in the rice. The chicken is covered completely is sauce and moist in the middle making it pleasant with the sticky white rice. I was nervous going in and ordering but the little lady at the front was nice and helpful when I ordered. The owner came out and answered the phone later on and sounded like a normal restaurant owner. After the guy on the phone rudely ended their conversation she talked to my boyfriend and I very nicely despite what had happened. Overall I would definitely go back.

The chicken was dry, cold and rubbery, the wontons tasted like I was chewing gas station gum. The experience I had a year ago and now is like night and day
The bag of pretzels I got from the dollar store down the street tastes better and made me feel better about myself than this place. Go buy a bag of those and visit China One instead, at least their food tastes like food.

I ordered sweet and sour chicken and it was disgusting!! The chicken was hard and rubbery and it tasted like grease… The sweet and sour sauce was okay but I wouldnt call it good. I was very disappointed.. Dont waste your money like I did..

The sweet-and-sour pork was a big blob and completely burnt to a crisp. Not edible through it straight in the trash. The regular pork lo mein had shrimp throughout. I will not be coming back. Almost $60 and half of it was not edible.

It’s a terrible atmosphere in there and it smells like cleaning chemicals. The food tasted like the rice had been frozen and it just didn’t taste fresh. The presentation/quantity was decent, but the actual flavor of the food was like it was old and frozen.

If I could give a negative 1 I would let’s start with whoever answered the phone Rude !! It took over an hour to get the food and the wings must’ve been in the fryer the whole time shrimp fried rice dry and tastes burnt ! Please they even left a napkin in the bottom of the wing bag (see in picture ) they’re so burnt there’s no grease to soak up !!! Hope you didn’t use it for your hands then put it in the food smdh who knows at this point look what you serve who knows what you might do stop selling trash food it’s not a good look you’ve been here too long you know better you need ran out of town ! Check out the sauce I got for 10 cheese wontons smdh
