First time ordering from here was Take out for General Tso’s, Chicken wings, steamed pork dumplings, and chicken lo mein. Everything was delicious with good portion sizes. With the online order, asked for medium spicy for the lo mein, and my boyfriend was pleased that it actually was (some places skimp on the spice). Thank you. We’ll be ordering from you again.

It was Christmas Day, and we were looking for a nice meal for lunch. We happened upon Great Wall, and we are so glad that we did. The food was great, and we will definitely be back! I had the pepper steak, and my husband had wings and pork fried rice. Both were tasty! I highly recommend it!

Service was A+. I loved the saltwater tank they have in the dining room. For an appetizer, I got the Crab Rangoon, and I don’t recommended them. For an entree I got the Great Wall Crispy Shrimp. The broccoli was fresh/crisp and cooked perfect in a brown sauce. Huge shrimp, great value. The shrimp was very sweet and had a glaze on them. I will be back next time but to dine in with a friend and get a few Mai Tais.

As a foodie, this place is my favorite Chinese resturant out of any place I’ve ever been to. The atmosphere is very nice. The seating is very comfortable and spacious. The customer service is beyond amazing. The food is not cheaply made, or rushed. The food is authentic, delicious, and presented in a way you will not find in any other Chinese resturant. If you like Chinese, you have to try this place.

Great Chinese restaurant in South Charlotte. They have been open since the 1980s so they must be doing something right!
Everything I have ever ordered here was good. They are more of an Americanized Chinese restaurant but everything they do they do well!
The prices are VERY reasonable for a sit down Chinese restaurant.

We have ordered from so many different Chinese restaurants and have had awful food, until we found Great Wall. Food is amazing, staff is great!! Reminds me of Jersey style Chinese restaurants. Love this place been a 2x per week choice for to go food. Looking forward to dinning in soon!

I moved to Charlotte a year ago and truthfully I haven’t tried much Chinese food because a lot of people told me it’s nothing near as good as New York’s Chinatown. I finally find found something that came pretty close. Really enjoyed Great Wall of China South in Charlotte, North Carolina. The service was really spectacular and the food was fantastic. The hot and sour soup was a little bland but I had the fantasy shrimp which is the same dish I had in New York called Grand Marnier shrimp. I also had cold sesame noodles and the noodles had amazing texture and the sauce was a perfect consistency. My friend had the trio with garlic sauce and that tasted really good as well. Will definitely go back.

We have eaten there at least a dozen times over the years. It is a weekly dining experience for my inlaws. We happened to go on a Monday evening around 6. As soon as we walked in..there was 5 of us we knew something was wrong. The usually pleasant greeters were nowhere to be found. There were employees at the desk by the entrance that we had never seen…and that NEVER happens. As we walked in and asked for a table the employees just looked at us like they had never been there before. They finally clumsily got us to a table and we noted that there were probably 3 other tables with diners there…very quiet for this usually busy place. This is where it got crazy. A frenzied..loud and exasperated Asian waiter came over and absolutely BARKED instructions! He quickly demanded to know what we wanted to drink. When we began listing the cocktails he absolutely BARKED “NO BAR SERVICE..I AM THE ONLY ONE HERE!!!” At that point we stopped to think what we MIGHT like to drink…and he stormed away. He went to another table and had another unpleasant loud exchange with them. A few minutes later he stormed over with water and slammed the glasses on the table. It was like we were in the Twilight Zone…this place is never like this. I even asked if it had been sold. That waiter proceeded to go from place to place banging plates.. glasses…silverware every place he went. We could hear him 50 feet away slamming things and being rude to customers. We should have left and gone to Cabos next door. This was the most unpleasant dining experience I have ever had…and I have had plenty in 72 years. The food was OK but we couldn’t wait to get out of there to stop listening to that crazy waiter. I can all but guarantee that if they decide to keep that atmosphere they might as well close. It was HORRIBLE.

In the past Great Wall of China used to serve great food. I ordered delivery of lo mein and just threw it in the garbage. No beef hardly and just an over oiled noodle bomb with no flavor. A waste of $61. Be forewarned dont waste your money hete. The food is horrible
