China Great Wall Does What It Says on the Tin.
Popped in with mates last night and was chuffed with the food. Sweet and sour chicken was properly crispy, not greasy like most places. The prawn stir-fry was fresh and the General Tso’s chicken was covered in sesame seeds with this brilliant sticky sauce.
Portions are massive – couldn’t finish mine. Staff are no-nonsense, just get your food out quick and top up your drinks. Place looks a bit dated but honestly who cares when the food’s this good.
Been to quite a few Chinese places round Liberty and this one actually knows what they’re doing. Not fancy but reliable, which is exactly what you want sometimes. Already planning to bring the missus next week.

Very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The food was clearly reheated and not freshly made. It tasted old, had a bad flavor, and the texture was unpleasant, like it had been sitting for a long time before being served. Some parts were cold while others were overly hot, which is exactly what happens when food is microwaved or reheated. The overall taste was terrible and not enjoyable at all. For the price, I expected fresh food and better quality. Unfortunately, this was a waste of money and I will not be coming back. I do not recommend this place.

We just moved upstate from Long Island and were skeptical about finding a good Chinese take out place. That being said, I asked a local and this place was recommended. I found Their menu online and called to order. The man who picked up was super friendly! When I went To pick up, he was still friendly and welcoming and had a little conversation with me (through the covid plastic) while packing my order. He welcomed me to the area and said he’ll see me soon! we got home and the food was all delicious!! To my surprise, my very picky 12 year old gave this food a rating of 11 out of 10! Not only was the food delicious, but the portions are huge. We will have leftovers for the weekend!

I rarely turn down food and simply could not touch this food! I would give it 0 stars, but all I can say is do not waste your money!
We ordered the typical spring rolls and stirfried rice- the rolls were so freezer burnt and the rice smelled terrible!
It’s realy hard to go wrong with spring rolls and stirfried rice and I am sorry to say we will throw it away. It is not inexpensive either!

Four stars by local standards – it would not hold its own anywhere with an upscale Chinese restaurant.
All the Chinese restaurants around here belong to some kind of network – the menus are substantially similar in format and what they offer, the ingredients are basically the same and the food tastes the same.
All that being said, the food at China Great Wall tends to taste a little more freshly cooked and have a slightly more vibrant flavor than the general run of places of this ilk.
Plan to take out, even when eating in becomes an option again – the seating here is kid-sized.

No matter how long in between orders the owner always remembers me and my order. He always asks about my family and is oh so friendly. Great Wall has been in Liberty for as long as I can remember and the Singapore chow mien fun is off the charts good.

Attempted to order food and give the woman my credit card over the phone. She could not even understand the expiration date of 2027 she kept saying 2007. Really. Then told me the card didn’t go thru. If you can’t understand the language here maybe have someone talk to people that can understand. Then spoke to her husband who said the cc company don’t let them take the number over the phone. I had just ordered there 2 days before and he had to call me back to get the info that time to.
