Came here with my coworkers for lunch. Service was incredibly fast. Our waiter kept our drinks (water & soda) full & cleared our plates when we were done with our appetizers. I’ve been to many Chinese food restaurants and this truly is, by far, the best one yet.

Great place to dine. The food was like no other. It appeared like it was made from scratch. The service was A+ and the restaurant itself was elegant. A great place to take a date. The price was heavy but to me it was well worth it. I recommend and will come back for more.

I really hope the owner reads these. Great Taste used to be great quality and service for as long as I can remember. The last few visits the service was nothing like it used to be, the quality has gone down, smaller portions, and prices up. I hate to say it, but $100 for 2 adults (no alcohol) and 2 young kids who didn’t get their own meals for “just ok” Chinese food, we won’t be back after 20 years of being a customer.

A pleasantly hidden gem of a Chinese restaurant. Almost looks closed from the outside, by design. Clean and fine facility and good customer service. I had the szechuan style shrimp and it came with brown rice and broccoli — perfect portion and fairly priced menu.

Picked up. Spent 76 dollars! Well, I got dry rice, tasted old not fresh at all. All the egg rolls were SOAKED in oil. I had like 3 pounds of chicken (over exaggerating) and a half a cup of rice for my combination platter. Basically did not have nice even positions like they use to give. The Lo-mein dishes came out well.

I went to dinner here last night. I haven’t been in quite a while because the last time I was there, there was a black hair on top of my white rice. The waiter didn’t see this. I think he went in the back and just took the hair off and reserved me the same rice. Back to last night. I ordered water, a pot of tea,(remember when they automatically brought it), an egg roll and pork fried rice. The egg roll was so saturated in oil that when I went to cut it, grease shot out the end onto the table. To be that greasy you would think it was hot. It wasn’t. I know they just reheated an already cooked egg roll. Now for my rice, I eat fried rice at least 3 times a week for my lunch. Quick easy and not to expensive. So I know what fried rice is . I understand everyone makes it different but you need to use oil to make it. I got it it looked dry and no oil on the plate and it was lukewarm. My friends white rice was hotter than mine. So they must have a rice warmer for fried rice. When I get my lunch rice it is made to order and hot as can be. This place was one of my favorites before Covid. I guess they saw what the could get away with and just made it a business practice. Server was unfriendly, no personality, and could not wait to be done with us. Won’t be back which is a shame because they really were great years ago.

Tried about 7/8 other places in New Britain since I moved from Hartford. This is by far the better and most consistent option. Since moving to New Britain, I haven’t had a bad food experience yet. Highly recommend
