We have visited here three times, and each time has been a great experience. This last time we were served by a waiter named Chase who absolutely made our experience even better than the others. A great place to eat if you’re ever in this part of town! My husband and I visited a few weeks ago and came for a late lunch/early dinner, so it was pretty slow. We sat outside and admired the view of the square. Our server was nice and friendly, offered alternatives for my picky eating. I got a Caesar salad and added blackened salmon (which I’m pretty sure was cooked in heaven). My husband got a burger with bacon, and we shared sweet potato fries for funsies.

Popular spot, definitely worth getting there early in the morning on the weekends. Outside seating is a bit nicer and more lively. The grits a ya ya is a great take on shrimp and grits, avocado toast was good – I wish they used a bread like grilled sourdough and I think then one slice would be plenty. The beignets are a great share plate. Service was good and staff was friendly.

A perfect place to eat after doing a little shopping in Seaside! The pineapple mojito might just be my new favorite drink. The food was all so fresh and delicious! Our waitress was professional and on top of it, too!! We were staying in Miramar Beach, but our friends highly recommended The Great Southern so we made the 15 minute drive and we are so glad that we did!! Will definitely be on the list to come back next time we are in town!

Service was eh. But trust me the grits a ya ya were fantastic. The shrimp was seasoned perfectly and their grits are amazing. The Benedict wasn’t bad but no hollandaise sauce really makes it not a Benedict to me. The frose and dreamicle at bff is AMAZING too
