The service was just as impressive. Everyone was friendly, attentive and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. It made the whole visit feel even more special.
We also had such a great time playing pool and shuffleboard. Whether you’re there for the craft beer, the great food or both, this place delivers across the board. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. We’ll definitely be back!
I will say it was a bit confusing and definitely an issue that has to be addressed between Great South Bay and Groupon, since there is clearly some sort of disconnect there. On our phone, we had the Groupon gift card which had a barcode that was unable to be scanned since this location has no scanner, which is fair, but it also had a code that was apparently unable to be typed into your POS system because it contained letters.
As stated earlier, the manager on duty was very hesitant to give us our $50 off of the bill, claiming there’s nothing they can do and if she was to give the discount, it’s like “giving you $50 off for free” meanwhile that clearly is not the case since someone already paid $50 for this gift card through Groupon as a gift for us. She also seemed to think the Lindenhurst location didn’t partake in Groupon gift cards, which was also not the case since we showed her on the phone that the gift cards are available through Groupon at all 3 of your locations. After too much back and forth, she honored the gift card and walked away. No apologies or a “sorry for the misunderstanding and confusion” It’s as if she was annoyed that she gave us $50 off. She may need a quick hospitality lesson from our server/bartender who once again was top notch! She gets 5 stars, manager 2 stars.
But all in all, very weird situation after 4 of us had meals and drinks at your establishment.
Please get the Groupon gift card thing straightened out so as to avoid anymore confusion between future patrons and your employees.
I added screenshots of the Groupon gift card on here after redemption.
everyone space to move around and socialize.
The food was excellent!
Nikki the Manager, Anthony and Erica made this smooth and easy for us – very chill vibe – relaxed atmosphere – very welcoming to families with kids – excellent customer service!
Thanks Nikki for suggesting the pretzels – they were a hit!!
Adults and kids all had fun!! Highly recommend and we will be back!
Autumn is hands-down the best bartender there. She’s quick, attentive, and actually remembers regulars and what they like. She keeps the vibe fun without ever being over the top, and she manages the bar like a pro even on the busiest nights. Drinks come out perfect every time, and she makes everyone feel welcome the second they sit down.
If you’re in Lindenhurst and want a spot with great beer, good energy, and the best bartender around, Great South Bay Brewery is the place. Highly recommend.
Service was exceptional. Our server, Amanda, was not only incredibly attentive, she was fun and really helped bring the whole experience to the top level. If I could I’d ask for her everytime!
Despite being affiliated with Great South Bay Brewery, the place has a lot more to offer than just beer for drinks, but of course the beer selection is not to be slept on and updates frequently. They also offer wine, cocktails, soft drinks, and even mocktails which were all great options for our mixed party of drinkers.
They might be brewery first but the food here was delicious too! For appetizers we got the pretzels, the nachos, and the Mediterranean platter to share. You might not think it, but the pita platter was actually my favorite, very fresh and different than just your typical bar food you’d expect. For the main I got the Mulberry Street Panino, which was a little messy but very delicious. Everything on the menu looked great and I’d be absolutely stoked to try all their options, and especially eager to get down there for brunch some time.
Parking on wellwood in my opinion is chaos, but there are luckily a bunch of municipal lots nearby (paid and unpaid) that you can use that are far more convenient.
