This place is wonderful. All the food we ordered was amazing. Unfortunately I didn’t get pics of everything. The conch fritters were just as good as being in the keys. All of the fried tomatoes were out of this world also. We had a party of 9 and they did great.

So we visited here again in March after a great paddle as the springs. It was crowded because it was a week day. One of our party got the steak and it was terrific – cooked perfectly. A couple of us got the shrimp and grits and it was a great take on the dish – we ate every bite. There was a salad also ordered we and it was very greasy and generous. Our server was also very nice and efficient.

Absolutely love the decor of this place.. and our server was lovely. It was super hot so we chose to eat inside and loved the framed photos of the springs and all things florida. We got recommendations and ordered what potentially could have been great food. It was average.. not bad just not as tasty as we had hoped for. Conch fritters we ordered for an appetizer were fantastic though. Fisherman’s catch had a variety of seafood. The shrimp and scallops were good, hushpuppies were also yummy. The whitefish, which was cod, was waaayyy over spiced. Had it all grilled. Maybe fried better? Fries were greasy. The Southwest Bowl with chicken was good.. again way over spiced. I would try again as this place is well liked and has a cool vibe with the outdoor space and indoor. Just not my favorite.

Wow delicious and awesome atmosphere! I was stuffed but my dad also really enjoyed ice cream across the street right after. What a great town and place to eat and drink!!! Do not miss the hush puppies!!!!!

The restaurant is linked to the old Opera House and the atmosphere is fantastic. I had the best fried green tomatoes I ever had. We had a 16 onz Ribeye Steak served to perfection with gouda grits, grilled asparagus, and coconut rice. For dessert, we had bread pudding strawberry cheesecake flavored delish! We really enjoy our vacation in High Springs. The food, the springs, and the people. Satecation as it’s best.

I liked this little restaurant so much I wish I could give it all five stars. When my husband and I arrived we were seated immediately, the lady came and took our drink orders and appetizer order. We ordered virgin bloody Mary’s and gator bites for the appetizers. The bloody Mary’s were great, the gator bites were OK.
