Needed a quick breakfast before jumping on a plane to go back home. Found this gem on Google and decided to try it. It was delicious! Staff was so friendly. We’ve been searching for a low-key solid Mexican restaurant for since our go-to spot closed last year. Happy to say we finally found it—Great Mex is perfect! We’ve been here about 8 times now and each time is a good experience. The food is flavorful and the portions are plentiful, and the prices are appropriate. The staff are wonderful. The restaurant itself is spotless. There’s limited indoor dining but plenty of room out in the covered patio area. Small parking lot but plenty of easy street parking.

This place is just right for me. They pass the test handily on chile verde, frijoles, tortilla chips, salsa, all the must-get-it-rights. Prices are reasonable, there’s outside seating protected from the elements, but breezy, there is A/C inside, draft-amazing-beer. It checks all the boxes I can think of.

Charging $3.75 for 15 cinnamon chips is a rip off. They used to have a perfect portion to price ratio. Now they give you an 8th of the bag filled for that price. It was so little that I had to count. 15 chips. 15! Come on… These were my favorite; however, now I feel ripped off buying these. If it wasn’t for Covid I would have asked to return it and get my money back. If I would have seen the quantity inside I wouldn’t even had bothered buying it. Disappointed since these are my cheat meal for the week. Smh
