This was our second time at the restaurant. Both times the food was delicious. The restaurant is really coming into its own. Not only was the food delicious but service was great.
I never like to judge a restaurant the first couple of weeks because they have so much to work out. They have ironed out so many of the kinks.
If you like Indian food and very kind people go eat at The Great Indian Cuisine!
Happy New Year!
PS pictures of food is after we ate most of it! We left stuffed.
We also tried the great samosas, and the mango and strawberry lassi were delicious.
We ordered lamb, chicken tikka masala, bharta (eggplant), mango lassi and naan. Level 4 spice their hottest level was some of the spiciest food we’ve had – very authentic! The level 2 and 3 were still spicy and delicious. The eggplant had great roasted /charred flavor. Highly recommend and we’ll be back!
Pictured is what $50 BEFORE taxes and delivery fees + tip looks like at this establishment. No rice was included. No rice (except entree size pilao and biryani dishes) are on the site for ordering. Cannot specifiy heat. Dishes were both beyond mild and pale. Flavorful but zero heat (which is expected).
Naan and roti side orders both show at least three portions in an order. Ours arrived with just one piece in each. Portions of the dishes were sparse as well and in medium/small size deli cups.
All told, 2 scant curry dishes ala carte, 1 piece of naan and 1 piece of roti came to a total of nearly $65 delivered.
Cost cutting or whatnot – it’s taking advantage of would-be customers. We will not be one after this evening. (No idea why San Francisco is listed on door-dash order tag – maybe establishment never customized it from default? no idea)
_ We entered and the first thing we saw was empty tables laden with supplies. Not a great view. That needs to change. A place like this people are not going to visit if the restaurant looks crappy and unclean.
_ The menu was long and any item we asked for was not available. We had to change our order 3-4 times and finally decided not to order any entrees.
_ We ordered paneer for our toddlers and instantly knew it was made with canned goods. Had a weird taste to it.
_ The naan was OK. But there was nothing else available to try.
_It would be best if they had a limited menu to keep it simple.
