I’ve been a loyal customer of Great Harvest Bread for many years and have always loved both the quality of the bread and the welcoming experience. Unfortunately, my most recent visit left me feeling disappointed.

When I stopped in, I asked for a small sample. This is omething that has always been part of the friendly, customer-centered atmosphere I associate with Great Harvest. Instead, I felt pressured to purchase an entire loaf rather than being met with the warmth and generosity I’ve come to expect.

I understand that businesses change, and it did seem as though there may have been a recent change in ownership or approach. Still, the interaction felt out of step with the brand values that kept me coming back for years.

I truly hope this was an isolated experience, as I’ve always appreciated Great Harvest for both its products and its customer service. I left feeling surprised and disappointed, which is not something I’ve ever felt here before.

Grab some cookies while visiting Rochester, got there a little late so there wasn’t as many options. But the cookies were great, would definitely like to grab more stuff here if I visited again.

If you wanted to know what my partner thinks about thethe cookies: I bought 12 cookies late on Saturday before heading back to home. I ate 1 cookies that and left to Rochester for the second day of my event. When I got home on Sunday there were only 1.5 cookie left. My partner ate 9.5 of the cookies in 24 hours. She admits the only reason she didn’t eat the rest was because she felt really bad that she almost left none for me…

I stopped in right before closing and bought a six‑pack of cookies. The man working—mid‑forties—was very friendly and helpful, which gave me a great first impression.

Unfortunately, my experience the next morning was the complete opposite. I went back to buy bread and was helped by an Asian woman who was extremely rude and acted as if a tip was expected. Her attitude was off‑putting, and based on how she carried herself, she may have been the owner.

The bread itself was disappointing. It didn’t resemble the quality or texture of the Great Harvest in Linden Hills, Minneapolis. It was way off and honestly the worst Great Harvest product I’ve ever had.

There was also a sign above the bread that read “this bread is for sale,” which is very misleading—it makes it seem like day‑old bread is being sold at a discount when that’s not the case. On top of that, the bakery didn’t feel very clean.

Overall, a very disappointing visit, and I won’t be returning.

Great harvest on broadway has been spectacular with their service. The communication between the team during busy hours is outstanding. Along with wonderful service the food is delicious. Fresh baked breads, sandwiches, and other options for spreads and baked goodies.

I Usually like to go early in the morning to this store. The staff and bakers inside are so nice. I love their varities, especially on tuesdays I love sourdough bread with jelepeneo & smoke cheese. Their fresh sandwiches are also so good.

Good bread but the lady behind the counter this morning was very rude. My mom asked for a sample of a loaf before buying and was totally brushed off. It’s a shame because I have fun memories here as a kid.

Great Harvest Baking Company milling whole wheat flour for over 40 years. Breads and baked goods that are truly simple, wholesome and delicious. A wide selection of bread like cinnamon chip white, honey whole wheat, Swedish rye, challah, old fashioned white and much more. Very limited on the sweets with just a handful of muffins, cookies and scones. My choice was the Savannah Apple Bar with chunks of apple, an oatmeal cookie crust, wholesome rolled oats, and a sweet hint of shaved coconut. A deli is available with freshly baked bread, made from scratch sandwiches. Layout of the bakery is very tight and not user friendly as the checkout is first and you have to work your way to the back to see breads on the rake and a small display case of sweets. #philoffoodreviews

It’s fine. Nothing glorious. For a place that specializes in bread, they should have a larger selection. Too many sweet breads like cinnamon etc.

The woman behind the counter is very rude. See other reviews who mention this also. Love their products but hard to avoid her.
