Nice location of the Great Dane in Fitchburg. I had not been to this location before and driving back from errands I stopped in for some food. Unfortunately the weather got bad so I decided to do take out and head home.
Service was great and fast . They were very accommodating. Placed and order of my favorite Texarcana burger which I have had at their other location. Juicy cooked exactly as I like it with bacon and a top stack of thinly sliced haystack onions . Delicious burger. I got the waffle fries to go with this but they were a bit over fried – not a huge issue.
Also picked up a chipotle turkey sandwich which I have also had at another location and it is always a winner. Very filling and chipotle with greens on the sandwich make a big difference. Also here got waffle fries and these were nicely done .
Great location will need to stop in for sit down next time in town .

Long standing establishment in this area, serving locals for many years. Beer is the main attraction but they have a very decent bar menu with out cocktails and drinks available. Service has always been great, hard working people that tend to you. It has an outdoor patio as well that’s partially covered- makes for a great space during good weather. The indoor space has an upstairs bar too with games, billiards and TVs to watch the games etc. Good for work happy hours, brunches, games and all. Food menu is fairly nice too – a notch above typical bar fare. Don’t skip the fried cheese curds!

I recently visited The Great Dane in Fitchburg and, as always, the food was fantastic—I had a cheeseburger with all the fixings and a side of pub fries, and it was truly delicious. The bar staff were attentive, polite, and prompt. I’ve always enjoyed sitting at the bar there, and they generally provide a great atmosphere. However, this visit was slightly off-putting. There was a regular at the bar who was swearing excessively—it didn’t bother me personally, as I can handle a bit of language, but it felt out of place, especially since there were several employees around who didn’t step in. Adding to that, a manager—who I assume was a manager—was there with her family, and even though the bar wasn’t full, she was completely focused on them and didn’t even acknowledge me. I get it—kids at the bar are fine, but it surprised me, especially with all that swearing going on. I’ve been to Great Dane before and really liked it, so this was a bit of a letdown. I’m not looking for a discount or anything; I just think they need to focus more on managing the atmosphere. I realize this is a pub/brewing company. This is not Chuck E. Cheese. There is an expectation of bar patrons enjoying themselves and letting out foul language. F-bombs for 45 straight minutes does not inspire me. You do not have to embarrass the customer. A hand gesture of calming down should be enough. This is just my experience and bad timing. I do not hold Great Dane at large responsible for every single incident. Going out to eat is expensive and a luxury for many. So yes, I do expect more. If that one customer was not there, I had a great time and great food. So, there is that. However, given a choice in the future I will not elect to go back and “take a chance” with my money.

My sister and I took our teenage kids for dinner and it was fantastic! The food was delicious….”best mac and cheese EVER” according to my 11 y.o. nephew. Our server, Pete, was awesome! He was attentive, funny, and made us feel very welcome even though it was busy. He also had great beer and food recommendations, he was super helpful! The upstairs dining area was really nice, plenty to do and stay entertained. We’ll definitely be back!

Went for Friday night dinner with our kids and the experience was amazing as usual. We were sat right away and the food was hot, fast and delicious. Plus the apple pie martini? Ammmmmazing. Our server was Amanda and she was an absolute delight! She was friendly, attentive and made our dinner enjoyable.

Amanda was outstanding. She was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming throughout our visit. Her knowledge of the menu and thoughtful timing made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. She struck the perfect balance of being present without ever being intrusive. Another thing I love when she takes your order is she asks if there’s any allergies she can/needs to look out for. Service like hers truly elevates a restaurant, and we’ll absolutely be back—definitely will be asking to sit in her section every time I come.

We went to Great Dane Pub for my daughter’s 25th birthday. The server was was excellent and made us feel welcome! Thank you Shelby! We all enjoyed our food and celebrating her birthday. My smoked chicken salad was fabulous and my husband’s wings were delicious! They even brought out a brownie dessert for her birthday! We had a great time!

Came back for a second visit, the first time was over 10 years ago as I’m from out of town. Lovely place and just as good as I remember. The brews are all delicious, we ordered two flights (four in each one) to share and loved all of them. Had the nachos for an appetizer which were great, the chips were even good! Then ordered dinner and dessert. Everything was delicious and we all took home leftovers.

The food has been hit or miss here but it’s good portion sizes, vast menu, and very reasonable prices. The patio here is beautiful and there is so much seating! The bar tenders and staff are always so friendly and helpful. I love biking here (it’s off the cannonball path) and getting a beer!

Service was great! Everything came out quick. I was a little disappointed in the execution of our meals. The concept and ingredients of each menu item seemed great. I had the korean rice bowl. The rice was very oily and there werent a lot of vegetables or protein. Mostly rice. The egg and mushrooms were overcooked. The steak was cooked nicely, but cut sloppily. My boyfriend got their smash burger and was left a little disappointed too.
