The Great Dane East location has been a consistent staple for take out lunches and often dinner. I have tried almost everything on their menu and what I value about this location is its solid stable consistency on their food and that they maintain a base favorites menu and add in monthly specials on rotation .
Some of my favorites include their chipotle Cajun turkey sandwich with cheese and spinach . The combination works very well and flavors blend beautifully with a side order of waffle fries. Grilled chicken pesto sandwich with mozzarella melted and and a pesto aioli spread on the bread .
For all sandwiches and even their burgers they have gluten free options to choose from .
From their burgers I have tried them all but my favorite is for sure the Texarcana burger with well prepared beef topped with bacon , cheese and a large onion haystack. Really good and definitely filling when adding pub fries or waffle fries.
Parking has been always easy and fast to find in their lot . Ordering online via the app is extremely fast and prompt . Staff has been friendly helpful and courteous at each visit .
Definitely a place I will continue to visit.

I came for the cheese curds and stayed for the Korean rice bowl. Delicious!
*update 2025: I feel like the rice bowl was bigger this time! The service was great for opening lunch. The cheese curds are still yummy, but that ranch sauce is delicious!

Good place for gatherings with friends and family. Service was good and friendly. Twice this year we’ve eaten there and food was not so great. Over cooked burgers, charred bacon, wrong cheese, dry bread buns. Not terrible but not really top notch either. Culver’s burgers are better by comparison. The rueben sandwich is not recommended as it was a bit less in taste and appeal compared to an Arby’s rueben. Kids enjoyed mostly the fries. Good place for beers and pretzels and socializing at the bar, which is what Wisconsin is all about. If you go there ask the waiter or waitress what is the best item on the menu.

Went here to get a burger we saw featured in a magazine (admittedly 10+ years ago) but guess they took it off the menu. Disappointing but pivoted to the Pub Burger. Ingredients were high quality, however the burger was overcooked and dry.
The cheese curds were amazing, service was great, and they gave me a free beer for Father’s Day! Overall good experience

Got a table for 4 right away on a Sunday afternoon. The shepherd’s pie was amazingly delicious!! My husband had the falafel bowl and he said that was delicious too. Great service, our server was very enthusiastic. We will definitely visit again!

We grabbed lunch to go from here: mac and cheese, and the steakhouse burger. Both were quite good! The burger was very juicy!
Since we didn’t dine in, I can’t speak to the service, but everyone I ran into while waiting for the food was friendly!

I used to love coming to the Great Dane. However, I have been seriously disappointed with recent visits. The most recent visit sadly sealed the fact Great Dane is no longer on the night out list. We had a party of 6 and seated upstairs. We were sat at a table that needs serious fixing or placed in the garage. The side extensions are on a slant and make it difficult to rest a plate on…so you have 6 people trying not to use outer 6 inches of table and hovering over to reach their food. Ridiculous. We laughed our way through the extremely slow service. We saw 5 other seated tables…not that busy…but still took forever to get drinks and food. The food was not worth the price. My husband and I got fish. We were told the Dane was out of malt vinager for fries. We had to remind our waitress what sides should have been with the fish because they were missing….as she is asking can I get you anything else. YES get me what was ordered at a minimum. The floors were gross, seeing chunks of food on carpeting in the walkways. Sorry Dane…gotta do better.

Came in a few weeks with my girlfriend, we dont drink a whole lot but I wanted to try a beer because I dont typically like beer. I asked what the guy would recommend, I forget what the beer was but it was really light and man it was good. He helped us choose a good beer and he was very professional and friendly. Thank you! The food was also good too, the appetizer came out at the same time as the food.

I found this unsettling, but ordered anyway since I was there from a distance.
I had a cup of soup, squash which was a curry, fair but quit spicy. And the lime Shrimp salad I did enjoy, along with A pint.

OMG!! Guys this place is absolutely delicious! From the cheese curds to the outstanding Mac n cheese to the best sandwiches! We were so happy we found this place when visiting from Charleston, SC and our waitress Jordan was SO helpful with yummy recommendations and prompt friendly service. We will definitely be back very soon! (:
