My friend and I had been trying to get to Gray’s for months, and today’s visit was great. Our reservation was for eleven. We were seated right away. The server was knowledgeable and took our orders. We received our drinks and food in a timely manner.
I had the shrimp and grits. The dish had good flavor, shrimp were cooked perfectly. My meal wasn’t as hot, temperature wise, as I would have liked. My friend had the quesabirria tacos. She enjoyed them. Her food was hot. Overall, great meal and restaurant

I can’t say enough great things about this place! Really cool atmosphere. The rustic vibe and the Southern food made for an amazing time. We sat on the second floor near the stage and were treated to a great performance by Dylan J. (Singer/guitar player)
The food was delicious. We asked the bartender to make us a refreshing drink and it was just okay but my friend had an old fashioned that was soooo good. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely go back. The service was on the slower side but we enjoyed that they weren’t rushing us because we were enjoying the music. The carrot cake and the banana pudding were the stars of the night!! I’m craving that banana pudding right now!

This place used to be great, but has fallen into the abyss of poorly run businesses. Past staff members such as Talon and Jake were pros and made the place fun. Now it’s inhabited by a nasty management team, lacking of soul and creativity. Music?? Yah, they have a great stage and perfect venue, but apparently it’s too hard to find good talent to make some music…..in Music City??!!?? Kick these guys to the curb and spend your $$ at other places like Red Pony or Leipers Fork Distillery.

We visited Gray’s on a busy Saturday for lunch without a reservation at 12:15, but were pleasantly surprised when they offered us a table reservation for 45 minutes later. This gave us the perfect opportunity to explore the charming downtown area, and our table was ready earlier than expected at 12:45.

Our server, Kelsey, was exceptional, keeping our water and tea glasses full while checking on us just the right amount throughout the meal. The service was quick—our food arrived within about 15 minutes—and everything was delicious. We tried the chicken salad sandwiches, which were outstanding, paired with the best fries we’ve ever had. The pork belly lettuce wraps were equally amazing. The menu offers a unique taste that really sets this place apart.

Gray’s has a cool vibe with rustic chic decor—exposed brick, warm wood accents, and vintage touches that give it a laid-back yet stylish atmosphere. The live music stage adds to the charm, and though we haven’t experienced the music yet, it’s definitely on our list for the next visit!

Had a work dinner here, and it was definitely an enjoyable experience. The cocktails were really nice, the food was good, and our server was very helpful with answering questions about the menu. It is definitely a place to go for meat eaters though. I had a salad and it was nice but the main course options for non-meat eaters is very limited to non existent. Everyone i was with really enjoyed their food though, and the braised short rib special they had that night was a huge hit.

Grays on Main has quickly become one of our top dining spots in the area, and it’s easy to see why. I highly recommend booking a reservation days to weeks in advance because this place is popular for all the right reasons. While waiting to be seated, the charm of downtown Franklin will keep you entertained with its array of sweet shops, unique stores, and lively bars.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere took us back in time, perfectly capturing the spirit of the 1800s when the town was founded. The entire table couldn’t stop raving about the vibe—it’s truly something special.

Now, onto the food, which was absolutely incredible. We ordered the fried chicken, figs wrapped in bacon, and the filet with a side of cheese grits. Each dish was a standout, but the steak was the real star. It was so tender it melted in my mouth—one of those steaks you savor with every bite, soft like butter and rich like bone marrow.

Grays on Main is now our go-to spot for bringing friends and family for an unforgettable evening. If you’re in Franklin, do yourself a favor and make a reservation. You won’t be disappointed!

That pork chop! Oh my goodness that pork chop!!! The absolute best that I have EVER had hands down!! It was so incredibly tender and juicy. If you would have told me that it was a steak I would have believed you. My mother had the trout and loved it! They hand craft their own delicious cocktails including the mixers that they use. I was told that each bartender creates their own signature cocktail. I love this place and I make a point of stopping by every time I pass through Franklin.

We were accommodated on Valentine’s without a reservation, so that was nice. The server didn’t know anything about the wine options, the wrong dish was brought for my wife and had to be replaced, and we had to ask for silverware after our meals were served. But none of that compared to the sticker shock of being charged $140 for a 1/2” thick 12oz ribeye covered in coffee grounds and maple syrup. It was listed as “market price” which I understand can vary… but it was a ribeye. I’m pretty sure I got suckered

We visited Grays on main for lunch and mocktails before heading on to Nashville. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming with a touch of Franklin pharmaceutical history. The mocktails were decent, and the birria Mac and cheese was creamy. We ordered the salads with chicken as well. These were not as big as expected, but they were delicious. I would recommend this place.
