This has to be the best, most consistent, most unique cappuccino place in Maryland. I’ve lived around the world and the orange cardamom cappuccino from Gravel & Grind is fantastic. The flavor of the coffee is great and the taste is consistent across baristas. They all know what they are doing and the beans are obviously on point and fresh. My kids love the hot chocolate and avocado toast. I’ve tried some of the pastries but usually am just going for the cappuccino.

The coffee was amazing, service was friendly and prompt. The only reason I didn’t give five stars for the atmosphere is because it was so loud inside that my date and I had to go somewhere else to talk–we couldn’t have a conversation because we had to keep repeating ourselves. The physical atmosphere/seating itself is fine. I ordered a cortado with an extra shot. It was really good, and so was the chocolate disk it came with.

Stopped into Gravel and Grind for a quick reset and it delivered. We ordered one hot coffee and one iced, both excellent, plus two toasts including one with Brussels sprouts and feta that really stood out. The space felt relaxed but still had a good energy to it, and everything was clean and well kept. Parking was full but manageable, which tells you it is popular for a reason. Friendly and kind service made it an easy win. Definitely a great coffee stop in Frederick.

Visited this coffee shop for the first time on Saturday and it was amazing, 11/10!! It definitely gives Amsterdam vibes, has amazing coffee, bike rentals, and a cool vintage atmosphere. I tried their seasonal latte and it was delicious, the team members were really friendly as well! Definitely would come back and explore the area by bike!

If you are a coffee person, I would suggest for an extra shot of espresso to have it strong. For the food, I had the pesto toast with parsley and without tomatoes and arugula. One of the best toasts I had in recent times.

Providing an update on 04.01.25. Gravel & Grind has become so popular. The coffee shop was pleasantly packed with people enjoying conversation and each other’s company. It’s so refreshing to see a business thrive. This litte gem is conveniently located North of downtown Frederick and has ample on-site parking. Frequented by buisness people, health enthusiasts, drop-ins and regulars. Perfect Lattes and delicious food creations. Excellent service with a smile. Another reason to love Frederick ❤️
