Decided to stop here on a road trip to Arkansas.

We had read the reviews and opted to try it out.

The place gives a good vibe , we were seated immediately. Served drinks quickly and had our order in. If your wonder what to get there’s literally only pizza and beer and soda here. At least thats all we saw on the digital menus.

Our food arived fairly quickly. We got the cheese sticks (we thought they were mozzarella sticks) turn out is a cheese pizza cut into rectangular slices.

We also ordered the pigs pen (pepperoni) pizza and a large at that!. I wouldn’t recommend that for just 2 people.

Was it the best pizza we ever had ? No… but it was still good , probably the best pizza in town thats for sure.

They did have a huge selection of beer . That’s for sure . Also the souvenir cups are pretty cool.

Over all it’s would return especially since the food is good and service was excellent

️New Review: Grateful Head Pizza — Broken Bow, OK

We visited Grateful Head Pizza during a busy weekend in Broken Bow, and even though traffic getting in was pretty heavy, the experience was well worth it. The restaurant was packed, and we were told there would be about a 50-minute wait. We decided to grab a couple of seats at the bar, where the bartender couldn’t have been friendlier — offering us samples of local beers and making great recommendations while we waited.

To hold us over, we ordered the cheese sticks, which came out hot, gooey, and perfectly seasoned — absolutely delicious. Once our table was ready, we were seated out on the patio, which was roomy with plenty of tables and a laid-back atmosphere. It’s a great space to relax and enjoy the scenery, and we learned they often have live music in the evenings, which sounds like a fun addition.

We ordered the Dire Wolf pizza, and it was fantastic — flavorful, well-balanced, and perfectly cooked. You could tell the ingredients were fresh, and the crust had just the right amount of crisp and chew.

After our meal, we explored a few of the little shops nearby, including the head shop next door where we picked up a couple of shirts as souvenirs.

All in all, Grateful Head Pizza is a must-visit spot in Broken Bow — great food, friendly service, and a fun local vibe that perfectly captures the spirit of the area. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I just know this place is making a killing. It’s the only full pizza place around the area and they know it. The pizza was fine but definitely not for the price. We ordered a large cheese sticks, pizza and 5 sides of ranch for $51 (before tip). I thought someone was exaggerating when they said the large is comparable to a medium at Dominos but sadly they were right. The box was huge but the pizza definitely didn’t fill up the whole box, so that was a little misleading We also paid for extra cheese on both and they definitely didn’t put extra. They also charge extra for ranch, which they forgot one. A couple of the ranches had a clumpy texture and it grossed me out. We were debating on stopping at a different pizza place on the way about 25 min from Broken Bow. We wish we would’ve done that as it would’ve been way cheaper. The pizza was practically lukewarm anyways when we got it since we did take out.

Be prepared for a looong wait—we beat the rush getting there around 5 pm on a Friday and the wait time was still about 1 hour for take out already. Given how much we paid for the portions, how long the wait time was and the lack of the extra cheese, I can’t say it was worth it. This is coming from someone who absolutely prefers to support local, small businesses too.

Walking in the place smells like freshly baked dough, roasted garlic, and melted cheese — basically, happiness.
The crust strikes that perfect balance between crispy on the outside and soft and airy on the inside, and every topping tastes incredibly fresh. The cute souvenir cup was just an additional bonus.

The staff is just as fantastic as the food —Our server brought our pizza but let us know they forgot to put a topping on, without hesitation, she also advised they were already making a new one correctly and to enjoy the incorrect one on the house.
Will definitely be stopping back in next time we are in town!

This was a very popular place so there was a wait over an hour which was fine. We sat out on the patio which was a bit drippy since it was rainy but otherwise ok. The pizza came out quickly and it was ok. The problem is that my pizza had burnt crust. It should have never made it out of the kitchen and even if the kitchen didn’t mind the sever should have refused to bring it out. Doing so puts the obligation on the customer. I didn’t send it back because we’d already been waiting about an hour and a half at this point. I just didn’t eat the crust which I usually love. Overall, this is an overpriced and under-serviced pizza place with a limited menu.

We showed up for a late lunch, and it was still packed! I worried it wasn’t worth the lengthy wait, but we were so pleasantly surprised. The pizzas and cheese bread were very tasty! We also really enjoyed our beers and the shops nearby. The atmosphere is fun, and we will definitely come back next time we are in town.

Fun atmosphere and a cool vibe, but the pizza didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The toppings were good, but the crust seemed a bit undercooked. Service was fine but not memorable.

My wife loved that they serve Pepsi products, and they have a great beer selection — just too early in the day for me to try one. Overall, a decent spot, but the pizza itself was pretty average.

After visiting the Hochatown area on numerous occasions over several years, I finally made it here for some pizza. The pizza was delicious for sure; the only issue was that the crust was so thin and somewhat soggy that I had to roll the slices up and around the thick part of the crust to eat them. However, it had no impact on the flavor. So, it was a non-issue for me at the time, just something to be aware of.

I loved sitting outside in the outer area. It had a truly outdoorsy feel. And if autumn leaves and pine needles are not falling upon you, is it even fall? Lexie was my server, and she was great. All of the staff were friendly.

It is pricy but comparable to everything in Hochatown .

Extremely understaffed and long wait for a Monday night. Took an order to go and it was 45 minutes at 5:30 on a MONDAY night. They send an automated text when it’s ready. You can have a beer at the bar while you wait. Though you have to walk to separate building.YOU HAVE TO WAIT in line AGAIN (about 15 minutes) pick up the food and pay it. My food was not in the pizza warmer thingy the single guy by himself had to go back and get it from the kitchen. Line was out the door by the time he got back. I don’t why everything is so expensive in this rural tourist trap town?

The pizza itself is somewhat undercooked/dough-y and too much crust, WAY TOO LITTLE actual pizza! $29 for supreme pizza(16 inch) that doesn’t even fill reach anywhere near the corners of the box. The 10 inch small pizza was way too thin crust to be $17.

$9 for a local beer on tap! Absolutely outrageous.

Stormy was awesome. She gave us some insight on the town and local eateries. The pizza was OUT OF THIS WORLD. This coming from someone who does not like pizza. But overall the service made the food even more enjoyable. The only downside was the food was so good our whole party was silent with mouths full of delicious pizza with no conversation the entirety of our visit… the overall experience was so good we head to the gift shop for some souvenirs. THANKS STORMY!
