The Grapevine Cafe is the kind of restaurant that you go to for comfort food, visiting with friends and just plain fun. When you go into the seating area you immediately feel comfortable. You can order from the board or menu. Best selling items often run out but you always get hot food and come away satisfied. This is not a fancy place where you have to dress up. All are welcome. Parking is on the street or in a nearby parking lot. Parking is free and handicapped accessible. Wheelchair accessible as well.

On the way home, trying to avoid the craziness of I-95. Happened upon this quaint cafe. Friendly folks, good good, and great value.

Everyone here is super nice, and the food is always fresh. My family, who lives in NC, eats here all the time, and whenever we all get together and family comes from out of town, this is our meet-up place. My mother, Ollie Pierce, LOVED this restaurant. She died on Labor Day, and we all gathered here to eat the day after her funeral. I definitely recommend Grapevine.

We’re from Virginia but we were passing through North Carolina and didn’t see any restaurants near so we stopped here, the older lady who took our order was so sweet! My girlfriend and I loved the purple aesthetic they had going on in there. I had the catfish with mashed potatoes and string beans and my girlfriend had the bacon cheeseburger with fries. The food I had was soooo good! I haven’t had food like that in such a long time. It gave me a sense of nostalgia from when I was a kid because of the southern taste of the food, I loved it. I will definitely drive an hour back from Virginia to come back one day.

The owner does NOT “treat customers like family”, and her son is even less friendly. I was the only customer in the place, and they still barely spoke to me, even in response to my friendly overtures. I’ve spent a lot of money here in the past 8 years but am still treated like a stranger–actually, worse! No more. There are too many other friendlier places to eat around here!

Delightful little cafe in small town America. My chicken salad sandwich was prepared with just the right amount of love. A steady stream of customers enjoyed chatting about the beautiful weather.
