Estillos Barber Studio
The Estillos Barber Studio team this time stopped by Grape Leaves Restaurant in Oak Park, and let me tell you that this place is a whole experience. The moment you walk in, you’re wrapped in a warm, cozy atmosphere that instantly transports you straight to Morocco without ever leaving Oak Park.

The Vibe
Every detail inside the restaurant feels intentional.
The decorations are all from Morocco, giving the space a real cultural heartbeat. Most of the wall art paintings which we believe were painted by Chef Karim himself adds a personal, handcrafted touch that makes the restaurant feel like a story you’re stepping into. It’s the kind of detail most people miss, but it makes the whole experience feel authentic and special.

What We Ordered
– Moroccan Chicken Tagine
– Herbal Tea
– Rice
– Hummus

Everything tasted like it was made with care and tradition. Next time, we’re excited to try different dishes because the menu has so much more to explore.
A huge thank you to Stephanie who made sure every table was taken care of, comfortable, and never in need of anything. Her energy sets the tone for the entire dining room(friendly, inviting, and full of heart).Hospitality is genuine, and it shows in the way they move through the room, checking on guests and making sure everyone is having a good time.

Overall
It was a great experience from start to finish, and we highly recommend it. If you want incredible food, warm energy, and a cultural escape right in the heart of Oak Park, Grape Leaves Restaurant is a must‑visit.

This was the best Moroccan food that I have had outside Morocco! The location is intimate, although I believe they are soon expanding into the space next door. We ordered a Marrakech salad which was delicious and sweet with plenty of dates. Then we got the chicken tagine which was savory, sweet, juicy and delicious. We also really enjoyed the mint tea which was warm and comforting, although it was definitely less sugary than the versions we had in Morocco. Highly recommend this place and would happily come back any time!

10/10 Experience. The space is small but not in a bad way. The decor is intentional and you feel in Morocco. The apps ( the falafel ) were amazing to the main course. To get so much food for the price we paid. And the cherry on top was the service, Jovanny was great. I recommend this place to all.

What a nice restaurant with great vibes. I really enjoyed eating the grilled mix, and the lamb shank is very moist and filling out of the bones perfectly. Will definitely come back again

I lived in Morocco when I was a child and I’ve forever been craving the Moroccan mint tea. Finally I found a place that relieved me of the nostalgia!! The tea was so warm and the mint taste was very deep and rich.

Not only is it hard to find an authentic Moroccan restaurant but it would be harder to find one that is good. And this place did both of that!

The food was TOP notch. The flavors were VERY rich in every piece of food, especially the roasted vegetables. The grape leaves signature appetizer was amazing too, I loved that you could taste a hint of grape with the warm, flavorful rice. All of the vegetables, especially in the salads, were very fresh.

On top of the great food, the server was extremely kind and well mannered. He was very gentle, polite, and friendly.

Overall would highly recommend this place and I myself will definitely come back again :)) My coworkers had a gathering here last December and they’ve been talking about how good it was until now (May). That tells a lot! I’m so happy I got to know this place and I will definitely talk about it for a while too.

After I left here today, I had to leave this 5-star review! I had the most incredible dining experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious – every dish was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Our server was very attentive, and very knowledgeable with every dish on the menu. The atmosphere was so authentic to the Moroccan culture and elegant yet comfortable. To start off, me and my son had some Hummus and pita for appetizers paired with Moroccan Cigars. Then for the entree we had Lamb shank tagine and
Morrrocan Chicken. The meat was so tender and flavorful with amazing pops of seasoning. Lastly, for desert we had some baklava. I can’t wait to come back and try more items from their menu. Definitely my new favorite spot!

A little bit of Morocco in oak park! I’ve been to Marrakesh, Tangier and Chefchauhen and food I’ve tried had a special place in my heart. I was pleasantly surprised to find this place in oak park, the first thing that impressed me was when I ordered the Moroccan mint tea, it came with fresh mint – just like in Morocco. This immediately brought me back to my travels! My mom and I tried the babaghanoush with pita and it was very flavorful. For our entree we had the Moroccan Chicken Tagine and boy it was tasty! Fall off the bone chicken and tasted just like the ones I had in Marrakesh, complete with raisins and cinnamon. Also Sammy at the restaurant was super nice, he talked to us and gave us extra pita bread when he noticed we gobbled through them quickly! I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for some great authentic Morrocan food!

My boyfriend and I went to celebrate our anniversary and it was absolutely amazing. The staff, Angie, Alexis, Ali, and Elijho went above and beyond to make our dinner special! They were so friendly and gave us great recommendations of food to try! They started us off with fresh mint and orange blossom tea and it came in a beautiful kettle that kept it warm the whole meal! For food, we got the falafel, the hummus which was so good with the peanuts for a crunch, the mixed meat platter, and the steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the kefta was so yummy, and chicken too! We also tried the grape leaves, they are served warm and are insanely delicious! The chef, Alexis even came out to greet us to see how the food was and learned they make everything fresh from scratch in the kitchen, nothing is premade or frozen! Last but not least the baklava was the perfect end to the meal! The ambiance was so quaint, the lanterns and decor were beautiful. 10/10 recommend this restaurant! Say hi to Angie when you go, she’s the best!
