This place is very accommodating, helpful, didn’t charge me for almond milk and the food is delicious! The atmosphere is so quirky, eclectic, whimsical, rustic-chic, funky, bohemian, masculine but pretty. Next time I come to Quesnel I will come back and bring my family and friends. It plays old rock and I love that! And it’s seems quite sought-after, buzzing, and trendy.

I’m not in Quesnel often, but any time I’m there, I come here for coffee. The vibe is eclectic and fun. The street signs take me back to downtown Vancouver and the Kahawa coffee they serve is excellent hot or cold. They share a wall with Outlaw clothing store so you can shop while you wait. There’s self-serve ice water and a number system to keep track of kitchen & coffee orders. There’s a variety of baked goods ready to grab & go. I especially liked the date bar & cranberry orange muffin. Recommend the lemon loaf over the lemon muffin. The breakfast sandwich for under $6 is a delicious deal. And the washroom (a private room) was always tidy.

If you’re ever in Quesnel and looking for a coffee spot, you HAVE to experience this spot. I’m giving this place a full five stars, even if it feels like you’re playing a real-life game of Tetris trying to find a seat!
Seriously, this place is super packed – in the best possible way. It’s buzzing with energy, which just tells you how beloved it is by the locals. And walking in is like stepping into a time machine. The very retro atmosphere is just fantastic, full of quirky charm that makes you want to pull out a flip phone and order a dial-up connection with your latte. It’s got character in spades.
Despite the organized chaos, the staff are incredibly friendly. They navigate the bustling scene like pros, always with a smile, and make you feel genuinely welcome. You never feel rushed, even when there’s a small queue forming behind you.
And the food? Oh man, the food. It’s all delicious and fresh. Whether you grab a sandwich, a pastry, or whatever else tempts you from their display, you can taste the quality. It’s comfort food done right, perfectly complementing the coffee.
So, if you’re up for a lively, nostalgic, and utterly delicious experience (and maybe a little bit of strategic chair-hunting), this is it!

Asked the owner why Eggs Benny wasn’t on the menu and was told he was tweaking the recipe and he would stand my husband and I breakie to try them when he was satisfied either the recipe.. my hubby and I went in today for breakfast and both had the new Eggs Benny… they were so good .. like really good.. we in good faith couldn’t use the compt perk so I asked the staff if they could help pay it forward and if anyone came in that needed a hot meal use the gift card!! Oh course they agreed .. Ted provides a lot of free meals to those that need. This place is a gem. Great food, amazing coffee and incredible people ( working and owning ) … if you are ever coming to Quesnel or even just driving through.. it one room off the highway and totally worth the detour!!!

I ordered the 2 piece fish and chip, and was happily surprised with how big they were. Everything was very reasonably priced. The amount of tartar sauce that comes with it is also very generous, and the addition of cranberries and sunflower seeds to the coleslaw was great. The upcharge for the poutine was less than $3, and the gravy was very flavorful (rich beef flavour). Solid 4.5 stars

A community fixture of Downtown Quesnel of many decades standing. The owner by all account’s is a big supporter of many good causes of the town. I like the Apple tarts with whipped cream especially and It is s as great place to hang and to have a relaxing coffee!

This local favorite serves it all up fast and there’s a lot to choose from. My coffee was a good slurping coffee that goes down fast, hot and yet entirely forgettable. The cinnamon bun we had was gorgeous, but dry and the icing was crazy sweet and the butter tart we had was much the same. Still, though, everyone here had a genuine and welcoming smile!

We were recommended this place for lunch. Sounds like it’s THE spot of the town. The decor is pretty cool. It’s got a lot of downtown Vancouver memorabilia with an underground vibe.
We waited a while for service as employees were running around doing something. Finally a lady came up and wasn’t very friendly while taking the order.
I got a lasagna and one of their apple tarts. The lasagna was delicious. Could tell it was made in house as stated on the menu. The portion was big and enough for two meals.
The apple tart was very fresh. It resembled a small muffin, which made it a perfect portion size.
I would come back if I pass through Quesnel again.

Last time I was at this place we had the lasagna. It was the best thing we ever ate. Considering my husband is Italian and he liked it too. It is a must try.
