Beautiful restaurant in a historic location with great warm and modern ambiance created by vast space and big windows.
Food exceptional. We tried the delicious sweet potato soup with a tad of smoke, scrumptious shrimp and grits with mushrooms, apple and radicchio salad seasoned to perfection and dessert.

I have to say, I was a bit disappointed by the maple crusted crème brûlée as it was too thick of a crust but the wrong consistency and too thin of a layer of crème.
Hugo sprits and maple old fashioned paired dinner well!
What a treat!

This was an excellent experience for my husband and I. We came to Stowe for our anniversary and chose Grants last minute for dinner based on the good reviews – the reviews were absolutely right! Our waiter wished us happy anniversary and gave us champagne on the house as we arrived. The food was amazing – we had the tuna tataki, veal, and creme brulee for dessert. The food was only made better by the acoustic live music. We will absolutely visit again if we get the chance.

The food was excellent and it was such a cute little spot in Stowe. We sat by the river and it was such a nice view with lights on the trees and the covered bridge. Very good service from our waiter Dave as well as the other waitstaff, busboys, and hostesses. The food was perfect and filling and the rosemary pear mocktail was great.

Enjoyed our meal and drinks. Service kind of disappeared on us for awhile. I think we were forgotten. Led to a discussion that if you dont follow through and order fast you will be put on the back burner. We were looking g for a little balance. We had filet mignon (55) and veal short rib (42). Food was solid and staff very nice. Thank you for a good dinner. Great playlist for music.

We have a fantastic meal. My wife started off with the muscles appetizer, and I had the artichoke heart fried with a aïoli sauce. They were both delicious. My wife had the scallops with a side of risotto with the asparagus, and I had a filet mignon medium rare with the side of asparagus With carrots, mashed potatoes, pistachio crusted, sweet carrots. It was very delicious. I had a vodka martini Tito and my wife had some Cabernet Savignon California with dinner and she ended dinner with a peanut butter chocolate moose cheesecake what she ate before I could take a picture dinner was excellent, the cocktails were good and the staff was very efficient. Kudos to our waitress thank you thank you Mariah.

Delightful dining establishment with gorgeous dining room looking over Stowe Village and the Little river. Food is way good, even remarkable. We ate two dinners on two different occasions and had some great items: hush puppies with hot aoli sauce, shrimp and grits, (had plump spicy shrimp), and the jerk chicken with glaze of sweet and savory spices. Mussels in a flavorful, Portuguese chorizo wine sauce was another. Service was excellent and atmosphere just right, casual but elegant at same time. I highly recommend this place!

We had dinner at Grants on Christmas Eve and it was perfect. The trees surrounding the restaurant were lit up, so the setting was magical. The service was fast, personal, and friendly from seating to check out. We had the bolognese (wonderful!) and the miso-maple salmon (exceptional!). We tried the special holiday cocktail – a White Cranberry Mule served in the traditional chilled copper mug – and it was delicious. It was our anniversary and they presented us with complimentary glasses of Prosecco which was a lovely touch! Highly recommend!

It was our first trip to Stowe and we had looked around of where to go for dinner Saturday night which happened to be Valentine’s Day. Without knowing much about Grants, the menu and simple fact that they actually take reservations was why we initially chose it (seems like a lot of the restaurants around have more of a waitlist option for booking). We both ordered the Beef and Pork Bolognese and it was fantastic. I also really enjoyed the pear and rosemary mocktail.
We had just gotten engaged earlier that evening they comped our espresso cheesecake desert.
Great vibe, great staff, great food. We would definitely go back.

Delicious crab cakes for appetizers, excellent entrees, and good wine selection! Portions are huge, so plan accordingly. Our server, Dave, was attentive and gave us a great experience. We’re celebrating our 25th Anniversary, and Grant’s is the perfect place!
